Pro/cons? LRG 06-18-2003, 10:03 PM Damn those are nice. My size too! terrasmak 07-08-2003, 12:33 PM good boots may get a set to replace my sidi's , possibly my supertechs , jameszx6r 07-24-2003, 07:54 AM i have got a pair of the TCS EVO race boots, the Ti toe sliders spark well ;) Hot Rod R1 07-24-2003, 08:32 AM I love my Oxtars. I didn't like the Alpinestars mosty because I missed gears all the time with them. Smoke 07-24-2003, 08:34 AM Okay the boots are great I've had mine a year now. However if you neglect to use that silicone stuff they give you the vertebrae part will crack on you. My right one is now broken, and the left one is cracked. I am assuming they cracked because of this reason. I've never been in an accident so the boots haven't come under hard pressure. But they do get worn lots.
As for the titanium toe slider. Great, and they last longer than just the plastic ones, but mine have worn right through and once you wear down to the screw part then its impossible to replace them. Unlike a Velcro or slide-on type toe slider.
But I still find them to be the best boots I've owned. Get_Dude 07-24-2003, 09:07 AM Does anyone own the alpinestar supertechs? I wanna know what they think about them... jameszx6r 07-24-2003, 09:42 AM drill the head off the bolt in the toe slider, pull off toe slider and you should be left with the screw, get a pait of money grips and twist them out. easy.
My vertbra things havent snapped yet, i did use the silcone stuff though. Gawarrior 07-30-2003, 09:24 AM What kind of price are the Oxstars? And where is a good place to get them from? Hot Rod R1 07-30-2003, 09:30 AM I got mine for 175.00 plus shipping
