BRBJackson (our CO) has suggested a squadron track day Jun 29th at California Speedway in Fontana. All those interested list your name. If we get enough people we may be able to get the price down to about $100 or less, but don't quote me on it.

List here:
1. Ronin R1
2. Hot R6
3.
4.

The $100 price is probably not do-able, but for less than $200 (already down from $275), you get covered pits with power, the safest and most fun track in the west (IMO), corner workers EVERYWHERE, a medical staff on-site, etc. etc. I'll talk to Dave and Dana at Fastrack, and depending on the number of folks we can get on this list, see what they'll do for us.

Right, my first choice would be Saturday the 28th, but I'm in Chicago until the previous night, so no time to get trailer/prep/sleep :crash If we can't do this date, I guarantee July on Saturday is a go, amigos...

OK, 2 pieces of important info, guys. First of all, I'm going to get my bike out to a buddy's house right near Fontana the week before, so all I'll have to do is fly back from Chicago late Friday night, go home and get some sleep, then drive out to the Track early Saturday morning the 28th. I hope the date change lets more people go. Second, Fastrack is offering a "Sign-Up 6, Pay for Only Five" plan. Basically, this means that if we get enough confirmed / paid attendance in the next week (that's the cut-off), the day couild be as low as $165 each :jump Also, there's a "bring 4 new Fastrack riders and 1 rides free" program.
Keep in mind, this is for a track that was $275 a month or so ago. Here's a post from esportbike.com with more details. My amigo Ron (qqqqqqqman) has set it up with Fastrack.

Sam, the $100 figure was something Ronin threw out there. See my second post in this thread for the reality, though. You need to keep in mind a few major things, too:
1) This is NOT Willow... it's like 3 times more expensive to rent
2) Covered pits, power, decent food available on site, medical staff AT THE TRACK, plus your tires will wear about half as much on Fontana's smooth surface
3) The $165 is based on bringing 6 people at $199, with one getting in free, and everyone splitting the $199 savings 6 ways.
4) Fastrack runs a first-class operation, with corner workers at every turn, and maybe the best safety record in the industry

I'd love it if the price were just a C-note, but for me, the safety, enjoyment, and world-class track are worth $65 more. I really hope you and your buds can make it, but PLEASE read the thread from Qman on esportbike that I posted above. Don't want anyone getting sticker shock if we don't get the right # of people.

Hope to see you there, bro :thumbup
