Gotta hear this one!!

went into the dealership to buy a new tire today (wont mention the dealer name) and the Metzeler M1 I wanted was listed at $225. I ask the guy if they price matched and they did so I grabbed the mag out of my car and showed him that several vendors sold the same tire at $140. The smart assed parts manager walks out and reminds the counter guy to add for shipping.... so I call Parts Unlimited and the guy says $40 for overnight shipping... so... Im thinking $180 for a tire... the retard subtracts $40 from $140 and quotes me $100 for the tire.... SCORE! after my racers disount, I walk out spending $98 for a brand new tire... ACTUALLY, I ran out with my tire over my shoulder :rock

good job. I know this is old but make sure you look the tire's date of manufacture before buying. the older ones are priced a little cheaper than the new ones. Sportrider had a good article about it a while back. it has to do with older tires losing grip. there is usually the week and year stamped on the sides. ie. 2903 would mean 29th week of 2003 or July 7, 2003. :beer
