turbo r1 kits?

who makes a turbo kit for an '00 R1? i figuered ill ask here since most turbo bikes are drag bikes ?:corn we've gone 9.9x at 140 with bolt ons just lookin for more power now..

i think that mr turbo makes one.

The MCXpress kit is the shit. You can smoke 1 through 4 no problem with a sticky mickey on the rear. Just put a new one on today. last one was three weeks old! Turbo=Happiness

well actually i've been in contact with NX express this week.I believe i'm gonna purchace the 60005 kit with a1.4 lb bottle... get a new slick and go have fun...

BORING! U'll have the "juice" on Ebay just short of a month! I had the same on mine then got sick of making maybe 8 passes before a REFILL. Then I spent 4500 and got 210 rearwhp all the time and 259 rearwhp with the wastegate hose unplugged. YOU"LL be sorry.

Right now I am running 132.5s in the mains. Was just about to post to see what everyone else is running in order to lean it out enough but not fry the motor.

All the boosted R1's that are on this forum....are running 130 OR LESS mains. Simply too rich. I just put 120's in last week and will be heading to the dyno later. My bike was still really rich even with 122.5's!

Haven't had a chance to dyno yet....with the 120's in it. But she will power wheelie in 6th:eek: She must be pushing over 210rwhp! Hey quick note bhartley. Since installing your turbo kit have u had any problems when downshifting to a stop(1st gear) that your bike lurches foward with the clutch pulled in? I have tryed to adjust my clutch lever spool(handlebar area) several times to adjust any problems out there. How much slack do u have in your clutch?

I have not had any problems with downshifting. I have a lockup clutch with very light springs so my setup would not help you . Do you have an A/F meter on your bike ? If so what is it running with the 120 mains ? Thank's

If your drag racing at all I'd suggest one... bhartley: after a week and a half I got a message from Frank that he couldn't do my swing arm due to him not having the proper machining equipment to do the offset the R1 swingarm has.... :no I finally got it back but it was after 3 days of calling and emailing after the message that it was sent... I got some really nice bolt on extensions that I am gonna use until we can get a break from the races to send it off again. Oh well you push into the 8.70s yet?

He has done R1 swingarms in the past . I am not sure what would be different about yours . I know they are really busy with swingarms and turbo install's but he can do a swingarm for an R1. What lockup did you get ? And yes I have been 8.70's this year . I kind of lost my combination over the winter and I have been trying to figure out the clutch and suspension again . Not sure what changed but something is not quite right . I am working hard at figuring it out again . It may have been the rake that caused the changes ..

On the 02-03 R1s there is a slight difference in width from side to side. I was told that he didn't have the ability to machine two seperate plates, I was just mad it took a week and a half to be told that and longer to get it back, not to mention I overnighted it to him at a $40 cost to me- oh well. I got a MRE lockup clutch... It's the same one that Brad Dowell uses.... Suspension is my next thing... I am gonna get a progressive spring and maybe a shock setup for my weight.

We tested everything with a 55 shot, low controller setting (20% @ start - 5 seconds to 100% and the shift setting at 10,800 instead of 11,400 and the bikes where running 9.50s ... We are going test a little more and then turn up the settings. The nitrous is push button engaged right now because the rpm activation setup wasn't working right. I'll be happy getting into the 9.10s but we shall see...

Sorry that it took so long for him to get back with you . He can be that way sometimes . He does not do any work he has a friend that does all the fab work . He is a nice guy he just likes to stay behind the seens . I hope it runs good for you . Sounds like a nice setup . It was easy for me to get in the high eights but it has been hard to step up to the next level . The chasis has to be dead on and the clutch does also .. Wuzzup people. I just got my R1 on tuesday and have much to learn, but it seems like that won't be a problem with all these great forums. So here I go. What the hell is an A/F switch? When u talk about 120s, 125, or 130, what r u talking about, does it have to do with jet kits? And also, how exactly does a jet kit help ur bike, what does it do, how does it work? Thank u guys much, hope u can help me, laters.

could someone help me in finding a turbo for a 2002 r1.....i am in need of alot of horespower...also who would be one of the better motor builders around i want to go completly through the motor ....thanks for your help

Sounds to me like a chain jerker there. 1 post and looking for instant death. one thing for sure, if you don't know anything about an engine and componants, your just asking for trouble. Do your self a favor......stick with a smaller bike and leave the big ones to the experienced of the field. I really think they do not make them for the fuel injected model though. Well, the turbo got my attention. I may have to blow everyone in my area off the road with this. I will be inqueering about it. BIIIIG SMILE

hey i got the motor to put on a four wheeler and no need to be a smart ass ...i got a ton a 2 stroke bikes just dont know alot about four strokes..but without a turbo i dont need the motor so now i have a 2002 r1 motor for sale..
