Make sure that you eat and don't let your own health become at risk. You won't be able to help her if you get sick too. I hope that everything turns out alright. I've never broken anything either yet (knock on wood) and would be pretty scared. It could have happened whether you were riding in front of behind her. That would definately be a terrible thing to circle back and see. I know that if it happened to me, I would feel horrible, but if I were in her position I wouldn't blame or be angry at you one bit. Accidents are just something that you accept when you first take interest in riding and get out there. Just keep your cool, which is the most important thing that you can do. She has to see that you are there for her. If you are strong, then you'll give her confidence and she'll follow your example and you both will recover from the incident faster. Also, if I were you, I'd get her a stuffed animal of her favorite critter that's big enough to hug. I think that she'd really dig it as a get well present. :)

Right now I'm pretty much just scouting the area for a good beginner bike that's priced right. I was really bummed when the GS500 was sold, but I'm sure that another one will pop up. I was also looking at EX500, SV650/s, and a bunch of other bikes in the area.

It looks like you've been taking very good care of her!! :) When she's feeling up to one, I think that she'd definately love that teddy or whatever. We (girls) are generally all mushy about stuff like that it will mean a lot to here, because that way if you have to go somewhere and she's feeling sad, she can hug the teddy and it will remind her of you and the strength and support that you've given her. It should cheer her up. :) Also, maybe you could get her playing video games or something to take her mind off of the leg. Watching tv doesn't require much concentration, so it's not as effective. Good luck! Genell

I'm the same exact way, especially if I see a kid get hurt. When I see someone that I'm close to injured, I'd feel a lot better if only I could take a segment of the pain to help them out. I just hate seeing people down in the dumps. :(
