Comfy like a gym shoe, sturdy like a SIDI. I WILL have a pair of these for those days I'll be on me feet.
Outstanding Product.

Just something to look out for. He's fairly satisfied with them now, although the sole is starting to separate from the boot. We used Shoe Goo adhesive to fix it.
Teknic said that's normal wear and tear and that since they already replaced his boots three times, they wouldn't honor any more warranty claims against his boots. Needless to say he's never buying Teknic stuff again.
Hope you have better luck. 45 Please 06-09-2003, 04:03 PM Can you post a pic to support this? ...pic is worth a .... :) Mad German 06-10-2003, 06:52 AM Originally posted by 45° Please

I don't have a digicam, sorry. I'm not making it up though if that's what you're thinking. I'm just stating what happened to a buddy's boots. Take it for waht it's worth. There are people on this board who've purchased A'stars gear and had problems with it as well, but that doesn't mean all A'stars gear is bad. Maybe my buddy happened to get a few bad pairs, who knows. Anyway, good luck with your boot search. Have you tried the Sidi Vert IIs? Comfy and good protection. The SMS + boots are supposed to be comfy as well. I'm not trying to steer you away from Tekinc, I'm just telling you what one person's experiences were with them, that's all.
Scott MikeR1 06-14-2003, 07:09 PM I ordered a set last week. I gave away my Sidi vertebraes after the toe slider screwed up and couldnt be repaired. Another reason is that I spent a day walking around Daytona in them, not pleasant. The design and sole layout of the vio's look great so I'm giving them a try, I'll let you all know how it works out. 45 Please 06-15-2003, 05:34 PM sharkattack, thanks. different outlooks/experiences make for balance thinking and subsequently, better purchases.
:thumbup MikeR1. hit this thread up after you break them in. MikeR1 06-16-2003, 10:07 PM Just got my boots today. They are a lot more comfortable than my sidis and they are real leather instead of the synthetic stuff used on the sidis. I'll post more in a week or two. joe-yamma 06-17-2003, 10:05 PM thanks to 45 and MikeR1 for the heads-up on this boot...
i have liked this boot since the first time i saw it.
unfortunately i was in too much of a hurry at the bike show down in daytona to try a pair on ... :2bitchsla to me.
i will be in the market for a good pair of boots soon, so please keep us updated on the fit/finish/comfort of this boot as you break it in.
my question is: why in the heck is the Speedstar boot so damn expensive?

Carbon fiber inserts and hype I believe, correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they about $100 more than the violators? MikeR1 07-04-2003, 11:17 PM Ok, I have a few hundred miles on these boots now with no problems and they are still the most comfortable set I have ever worn. evor1 07-04-2003, 11:19 PM i buoght teknic gloves and they sucked so i returned them joe-yamma 07-05-2003, 10:25 AM Carbon fiber inserts and hype I believe, correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they about $100 more than the violators?
I agree 100% Mike !!!
Thanks for the update on the boots...
I am still in the market for a pair, so your info helps me out!
i buoght teknic gloves and they sucked so i returned them
that's funny evor1... i've had violator 2's for 2 years and i thought they were good gloves and were a steal @ $69!!!
my next pair of gloves will be Alpinstars of RS Taichi, but the Teknics served their purpose rather well, i thought.
