How do you strap the front? I mean where does the strap go? Over under around what? I ran mine up over the back of the top clamp and down the other side. The strap interfere's with the steering in one direction. It steers just fine, but it seems weird to me.
What's the routing????

Here are a couple pictures on how I routed mine... It stays on the bike.. (loose when I am not racing)....

Also ... FYI , I run the strap so the pull strap is on the right hand side of the bike then I zip tie the end of the part you pull to the handle bar... That way it doesn't hang and you can pull it really easy.......

I did, but maybe I missed it. I haven't gotten the strap yet, but I wanted to make sure I did it right when it arrives. Everything I turned up in the search was for the older R1s. Any and all help is appreciated as always.
I go over the top with mine, and run it behind the top triple, right on the frame. it does rub the frame a bit, but I only use the strap while at the drag strip. I don't run it on the street. There are some posts on this forum that talk about running it over the bottom triple, and that allows the least steering interference and no marking up the frame.
hint: route it so that the strap end that you pull is on the LEFT hand side. this allows you to grab a fist full of brake with the right hand. hold the brake and press down on the bike to get the suspension to compress, while at the same time pulling on the strap with your left hand.

i route mine over the top of the bottom triple clamp. i believe there was something on the right hand side that i needed to modify/grind. but i like it this way because it doesnt give that binding type feeling when strapped. also like mentioned before pull up with left hand and grab brake wiht right hand to get it really pulled down. i also strap tie the end to the bars somewhere. i do not leave mine on for street riding...although theres no reason i coudnt.
