July Ride

I know it seems a little early to post for July's ride, but with the convention and a track day coming up I think we need to get a firm date so everyone can plan ahead. How does July 19th sound to everyone? We can meet up in Lake Elsinore or Murrieta. We'll ride the Palms to Pines Hwy. (74 out to Palm Desert and maybe hit 243 on the way back). See the May 31st thread for an idea of what we are in for.

Can you make it on a sunday .... I have sun, mon, and tues off ... but not sat. Like for example sunday July 20th.

Jim, I have Sat/Sun's off, and that weekend's wide open, so... Sun. the 20th sounds good... Hey BRB, you're not going to kick my a$$ for saying "I'm in" are ya? Don't get me started, son :mad: Actually, you get a special waiver for being rear reflector-challenged :crash :) :D

However, I hope you guys realize that 7/19 & 7/20 is Laguna Seca...so if any of you guys are going up to that, you can't make this ride... Just thought I'd let ya know now in case anyone wanted to schedule two things on one day...but I don't know WHO would do that. Hehehehe... :p

From San Diego ... Option 1: Meet me at my house in Temecula and we can roll from there ..... I live right off of Hwy 79 south. Directions: Go up the 15 to Hsy 79 south and exit. Follow 79 south all the way up to the 371 split (Idlewild/Indio) Follow Hwy 371 to Hsy 74 and turn right ..... there you go. It is very easy.

Can we get to Hemet on R3 without too much trouble? I want to hit the twisties going up to Mountain Center. Just to let you all know, I rode the 74 out to the 243 last Sunday and it just cements how great this road is in my mind. My friend and I were the only sportbikes up there. We passed a group of Harley riders on the way up but that was pretty much it. No cops, cagers get out of the way for the most part and those that don't you can pass in an actual passing lane.

It sounds like a fun ride.

Hey there... Isn't Ronin's wife HotR6? If so, I think they said they are on vacation for a week starting today. I was going to get a blinker off them but they were leaving this morning for a week per the post I saw she put up...but then again, I maybe wrong if that's not them. H ehehehe... I think most people forgot about the ride once the forum went down and came back up. I might be down for it...depends on how well I feel by then after going down Sat. I should be okay, but with it being hot and a long ride, I don't know if I'll be able to last...might get fatigued quicker cuz I haven't fully recovered yet...who knows. Anyway, let's see who still wants to go...shoot, I need to re-read the post to see where we were going. LOL I think it was out toward Palm Springs or something..wasn't it? LOL :confused:

Classes have started again and I have class on sunday, I have to work on sat from 3:00 PM so I can make it on part of the ride. You are welcome to meet at my house since it is on the way .... Hwy 79 south. Jim

Shoooootttt... I'm sorry boys & girls...I'm out for this one. :( I have a calendar shoot now on Saturday morning and 2 on Sunday...so I can't make it. :( Hopefully the next one. Plus, with my ribs being broken from last Sat's crash, I don't know if I would have gone anyway. Cya, Mat

They are saying that it might rain the entire weekend and I can't really risk riding all the way out there if there is a chance. I wanted to know if you guys like to postpone it till next week or something where more of you can actaully go on the ride. As of right now, it doesn't seem like this ride will happen? Give some suggestions for date and time that you are free to go next week or the week after.

I was going to post the same idea, since it's been raining the past two days and they don't expect it to let up until Monday. Reportedly it was 105 yesterday and raining!!! How about next weekend, maybe somewhere a bit cooler? Wherever it is though, I'm up for it.

Did anyone get out on this ride? I hope some of you did, if not maybe we can get together on the 26th. I have to work in the morning, but it won't be too long. Maybe we can just meet somewhere, grab a bite and go for a short ride wherever. We can still meet in Temecula if Jim want's to put up with us, head up to Ramona, Julian, or Palomar. Or where ever. I just think we need to meet at least once a month.
