What type of tether are you using

I would like to update from the screw and a shoe string. So far I see only 3 good kill switchs MPS handlebar mount pingel handlebar mount pingel panel mount The panel mount looks like it would be the shit. Just because there is no room on the handle bars. Where are you guys mounting them??

I use the Pingle Panel mount becuase there is no room on the handle bars. Its mounted on the left front Carbon look faring panel of my '99.

MPS here... It's a solid setup.... MPS stuff is hard to beat...

I went ahead and bought the pingel panel mount for the bus. Pretty nice unit.

A little off topic but I see some of you have to use tethers. Is this all over the states or at some tracks?At The track I go to you can take a 12r or a busa down the strip at damn near 10 flat in just your sneakers and jeans with no gloves or even a leather jacket for that matter. I see guys do it everytime I'm down there wearing a nylon jacket and no gloves or anything really outside of a helmet. So you can probally figure out they don't ask for tethers to be on them either. Hell they don't tech them or anything either so you can take just about any piece of crap on the track.

To my knowledge all IHRA or NHRA sponsored tracks have to follow the sanction rules. I think 10.99 is the rule for tethers. Now the unsanctioned farm tracks make their own rules. So they may not require much more than a helmet. I have been to a few and have seen some crazy stuff. I always have a blast at those places. So the one you are running at may not care as much as a different track. Now, I have been to sponsored tracks on test and tune nights, and special events where they are very relaxed during tech. They would not make you wear leathers and what such. It all depends on the tech inspector... if they have one lol:lol
