I'm actually getting better in the twisties to consider a track day...but can't go with all you guys. I'd be too damn embarrassed once I got back off the track for them flagging me for going too slow. :2bitchsla Hehehhe.... However, I finally got a damn job and start on Monday (7th), so maybe it could be possible. If not, I might still come out to watch and learn... I just don't want to be laughed off the course. LOL :crash

Mat - You will NOT be too slow. That's what level 1 is for. There are TONS of folks out there every time we go that are doing their first track day. Believe me, it's a hell of a lot less intimidating than the canyons. Wide turns, no SUV's, no rock walls/3000 foot drop-offs, clean smooth pavement, and nobody gets flagged off for being too slow. There is no 'Too Slow' in the beginning, and that's how you safely learn to ride smoothly. The speed eventually comes, very naturally. Hope you can make it, at least to watch. BTW, congrats on the job, bro :hellobye !!!

hey thanks on the congrats man...I appreciate it. I'm going to try and see if I can make it. I'll at least come out to watch. I don't know if I'll have the money by then with rent coming first and all. What's the latest I would need to let you know and/or pay the money by? Let me know that and I'll see what I can do about it. Sounds like it would be fun. I'll have to rent a suit too...hopefully they have one that'll fit my fat a$$ Hehehehe... But ya, sounds like it might be better not worrying about plowing into an SUV or sliding off a 3000 ft. cliff. Hehehe..some how that seems better. Hehehe...

Track day at Cali Speedway on the big AMA course with Fastrack is currently $199, but we always try for the '6 ride for the price of 5' deal, which brings it down to ~#165 a head. Plus, if you're a newb to Fastrack, they've got all kinds of discounts too... http://www.fastrackriders.com

Hmmm.. My friend went the same weekend as you guys did (2 weeks ago I think? or last weekend?). He paid $199 for both days. Sat ended up being a "classroom day" and then Sunday was the "track day", but he paid $199 for both days together. However, it seems as though you guys pay $199 (or $165 if you can get the 6 for 5 deal) for one day. I was just wondering if it was anything different or not. Hmmm.. I've never been, so I have no clue. But if I was going to do a track day, I wouldn't mind going with you guys cuz you know what is going on and it would be good to talk to experienced guys about lines and stuff... :yesnod :D

Mat, your boy got a weird kind of special deal... or there was some confusion. Fastrack doesn't do just a classroom day... it's all part of the Orientation level for first time riders... 15 min on the track, then back to the classroom, a small break, then back to the track, etc... Have your guy call me if he knows of ANY way to get 2 days for $199.

I'll have to ask him. Cuz he want to Fontana just like you guys and the same weekend you guys went. I know that for sure. He thought it was supposed to be 2 days of riding for $199 and it ended up that the first day was all classroom. However, on Sunday all they did was ride with no classroom. He went through 3 tanks of fuel I think he said (he bought race fuel for his Gixx 600). So, I'm not sure where he went through or what not. I'll have to ask him and then let ya know who/where he went through for the deal...but again, they ended up only doing classroom for the first day (Sat), so you probably didn't see him out there. Maybe it's a "first timers" special or something cuz it was his first track day... Cya, Mat
