i posted this in the general but thought you guys might be able to help as well since some of you are from nj and pa...
Hi guys, i just had a question on getting a track bike.. i heard you dont need to get a track bike registered nor get insurance, but the bike im dealing with has a nj junk title... the bike seems to be ok other than cosmetic dmg.. no frame/subframe/fork dmg. anyways, what are the necessary steps in acquiring this bike and getting it on the track for a PA resident?? thnx for the help guys!!!

I'm not entirely sure on this one, but my friend YZFR1Freak has dealt with a similar situation I believe. He's a nice guy and would probably be more than glad to offer his .02. Drop him a PM and see what he says. :)

I have done a few track days at Pocono (PA) with team promotion and one in NY with CSS. Neither title nor insurance was required with either group. In fact no one has even inquired about it. :fact
As far as I know no one requires it for trackday or even races. I have heard that in order to take your bike across the border for a race you need to have the title (and it doesn't even need to be in your name). I guess that is why stolen bike sometimes turn up at the track!
PM me if I can help. Cheers
