Just wanted to show my appreciation to you guys. I purchased my rubber due to reading posts in here and damn my tyres rawk! :rock Thay are bloody awesome. After 3 full track days, rolling rubber off the edges off them, sliding out of corners and giving them a general hard time, they still look great.
They provide me with so much grip and feel and my confidence has doubled using these. I have them on the front and back. I usually try different things but bugger it. No way will I use another tyre. Not for a while anyway.
GO THE BRIDGY!
Oh and btw, my brother has dunlops atm, the 208's I think they are called?...he has an R6..they seemed to grip ok for him, but they look ugly now. All chewed up and in bad shape...I ride and R1 and my tyres look far better!

I fully agree. I used to run the 010's. Great for the street but wore out way to fast on the track. Tried the 012's, great grip but much less wear. Lots of confidence, and seem to give more feedback than the 010's. It may be my imagination but the bike feels a little stiffer with the 012's (obviously no changes in suspension settings).

I am undecided as to which tire I should get. I have narrowed it down to the Diablo(regular) or the 012ss. The main advantage I see of the 012ss is that they are predictable in their grip envelope and slide very progressively, the complete opposite of the Pilot Sports. I know both these tires are much faster than I am so being able to feel the limit without a highside/lowside would be a major plus. Wouldn't mind having the tire with the most grip though. The only reviews I can remember have the 012ss as being a poor tire for the Master Bike track test and another saying that the Diablo started to fade too soon at the track. Great stuff to go on huh? But that is the track and I mainly ride Highway 9.
