I am a big fan of the R1. Ever since i first saw one in 1997 when i was jes a teenager it has been my goal to one day buy one. I just recently turned 18 and got my lisence. I kno the R1 is too much for me this season. But reading through alot of the threads i saw that alot of u have had experience with other bikes. So i'm asking what bike would be for me? I have decided to get a new bike mainly cuz i dun hav enuff to buy a decent used one but my sister is gonna cosign with me to finance a bike. I've pretty much narrowed it down to either the ZX6R, CBR600F4i, YZF600r or the R6(cost a bit more than i wanna spend but if its worth the difference i'd b willing to fork out the dough) Hopefully by next summer or the year after ill have enuff experience to join this fine brotherhood here. Any help would be much appreciated.

I had the YZF600 for 3 years before moving to the R1. I cant give you any complaints. I recommend it. Bike was a great begineer. I did ride dirt bikes for many years before that though. Take the MSF class.

Look at resale value. The 6r and yzf dive in value compaired to the R6 and to a lesser extent the F4i. Get some frame sliders! The R6 is just about the most fun bike out there that would be my choice. I am going to get one next year if they make any real improvements.
