i need to know if ive done somethin wrong or what. ive put the velocity stacks the 2 middle hole of the air box to the throttle bodys when i put them i noticed a noticable loss in low end.
could it be my bike makes more power with out them? i bought to gain and i put it on the dyno this weekend up here in maine. my reading was 134.5 i have about 1200 miles on it but ive been on to it good after 300 miles i know its stil going through break in or what not but my friends stock 02 R1 ran 136 on the dyno last yr. mine has a jardine slipon and the grave velocity stacks. should i take them out? if so ive tossed the stock ones thinking i wouldnt need them. it would wheelie easier before i put them in and now i have to tug a little bit in 2 nd with it down a tooth in the front. i havent called them up yet but im going to to see what i should do. ill admit i have the slip on and the stacks but no power commander and thats the only thing i could think would make it seem like it lost power some how. i didnt do the pc because they said i would be alright with what i had and i would get a 2 horse power i also have mention the toque on my bike was only 71.2 and the stock R1 my friend had made 78? i did notice a drop but im taking apart and checking stuff out tonight any suggestions? i do not want to buy a pc if i can help it because the only map ill run would be a custom what work for some may not for others. was there something else i had to do when i did the stacks ?anyone notice this before

You are starting top add parts that would require a PC3 my friend;

I bet your motor is gasping for or fuel,or air.....got to see a chart.

when i had it on the dyno the guy said it was running lean. he could tell cause it was it was heating up fast, not over heating just heating fast every time he got on it i just want to know could i be going the other way (losing hp) running both of these together? it went better before i put them in with just my slip on. my dyno made me sick i expected 138-140 with this set up

it sounds as though you need to change your fuel map...
