Slip-on for 2002-2003 bike ?

I just bought a new 2003 R1, and I'm thinking of buying a slip-on exhaust. I'm wondering if anyone ran a bike on a dyno and compared with the original exhaust. I'm referring to an open race-canister. Are there any gains, or will I just get a cooler sound...? Also, will it affect the accuracy and response of the fuel injection ? Anyone with experience ? Thanks.

if your only doing a slip on , why would you be interested in power gaines. If you want power get a full system

a full system is only good for track use. You will lose bottom end torque with the exup gone, for street use a slip on is better.

what is the best slip-on to buy for street riding? I know that most opinions will very but still interested in comments. I am partial to Yosh. But I just switched from the gixxer to the R1.

I put a akar on my 02, quality of finish is A1, note is horn, i picked up 6-7 hp right through the rev range and torque is improved through the midrange.

Installed my Yoshi TRS TI RACE today.Sound is deep and throaty but not outrageous, perfect I think. And the looks are perfect, couldn't imagine another slip on that looks better on the silver and black. Everyone has an oval pipe, the tri-oval look is different.Hard to tell how loud it is while riding, so my bud made a 150 mph pass by me ,and it was screaming:yesnod I will post a picture tomorrow.

Your prob. not gonna find anyone who dynoed there bike with just a slip-on. it will give you minimal hp gain if any. everyone opinion varies.
