lucas 1BLUER1 04-28-2002, 10:43 PM You can use both brakes. Most of your stopping power is in your front brake but be careful not to lock it up or you will be :crash bigdogmike 04-28-2002, 11:13 PM When braking hard, you will find the rear brake is nearly useless. In normal riding, you can use the rear some.
Good times to use the rear brakes and stay off the front,
1 In the rain, apply both evenly.
2 In gravel/sandy situation
3 When you run off the road and into the old ladies yard, stay off the front  Maxxym 04-30-2002, 03:17 AM I mostly use front brake...
I rarely use both of them in the same time... markeddy 04-30-2002, 03:26 AM Use both. If you use just the front your going to get too much nose dive. The back helps squat the bike, and it behaves much better when coming to a stop.
I always use both the rear and front brake. I apply the rear first and then the front. Of course in a different environment (i.e. bad weather, sand, etc.) this can be a different matter.
Don't ignore your rear brake.:no | |
