OK- here's some advice to anyone that has installed a slip-on and is looking for a way to get rid of backfires + some good PC3 map info:

1) A big part of the backfire situation comes from the "clean air injection" systems that the EPA forces upon the industry. On your R1 (as well as many other FI superbikes) there is a hose that runs off the air box and into a network of tubes on the left side of the bike - this is the clean air injection system. It has no effect whatsoever on the performance of the bike - BUT it is one of the culprits of backfires-upon-deceleration, and by simply pinching the tube coming off the air box, or pluggnig it up, you will find you get alot less backfiring. I suggest you try it.

2) Dynojet as you know, has alreay built up some maps. I found out that for the slip-ons, nearly all the maps were identical- for the graves, micron and 2bros. I believe the micron would be the best one to try, since the micron intermediary pipe is kinked a bit more than other pipes even thuogh it's a low mount - this might be a good parralel to the longer int. pipe on the devil, even though the devil is less kinked. I'm gonna try it out tonight and I'll let you know how it works out tomorow.

I'm guessing it does but is this true for my 2000R1 air-pump equipped R1 as well? The decel popping is starting to get louder as the pipe is working in. I can just plug the line at the airbox? I'm guessing it's the one near the number 1 cyclinder side second one in from the frame? I think the corner one (outtermost) is for drainage..correct?

Left side - if you notice, all four off the cylinders lead into one line which goes up to the left of the airbox. you can just do away with all of that shit, but then you have to plug the cylinder leads - just plug the line and your fine
