CZ Eddie 07-20-2003, 04:49 PM I've heard good things about the HH, Performance Friction, etc.
I use the stock rotors.
My current ones, I don't know what they are, but they are noisy!! So replacing them with something that's also noisy wouldn't be a big deal, as I'm used to it.
I do alot of heavy canyon riding, using nothing but front brake, and lot's of it. So resistance to fading is important.
Also looking for cheap but decent brake lines. Will probably go for the name with Goodridge.
terrasmak 08-12-2003, 04:52 PM EBC HH pads are my choice , work great , ive got them on both of my bikes
r1diculous 09-04-2003, 02:54 AM EBC HH rocks! just tap the brakes a bit and the bike stops faster and shorter than normal pads.

Goodridge or HEL would be good choices.
bought ferodo's semi-sintered and haven't really compared. also mounted goodridge kevlar brakelines front and back. just use 1 finger and sometimes 2 when that 1 gets tired. just have to set up suspension sag and dampenings.

Such is the case with most aftermarket pads. If feel means anything to you, I would not recommend the EBC HH pads. Feedback is better with the stock set up. I hear Carbone Lorraine is supposed to be good, but I've never used them. Some here recommend Performance Friction (95), but I've never used those either.
blur1 09-14-2003, 11:11 PM carbone lorraine sbk-3:fact
R1Bates 10-06-2003, 06:45 AM EBC- HH pads!!!
R1 Cr@zY 10-06-2003, 09:30 PM no carbone lorraine sbk-3 are the shit!!! :fact they have excellent feedback are good when cold and fade... what fade!! they are AWESOME! :yesnod
viningsa 10-07-2003, 10:52 PM I was having trouble finding somewhere to buy the carbone lorraine sbk-3...can somebody help me.
Also does anyone know if the "blue" HEL brake lines match the blue on the R1???
viningsa 10-07-2003, 10:54 PM ...I just noticed that you guys who like the carbone lorraine sbk-3 are from Australia, and that is the only place that I could find that sells them when I searched the web. Is there a distributor in the states????
morepower 10-26-2003, 10:57 AM Try SBS dual carbon pads they are the best pads I have ever used. They only need bedding in the first time you use them and they leave a black carbon coating on the disc then they work like a carbon brake setup but with a good initial bite. But the hotter they get the better they get. They are useable for street riding and last for ages.
Eyespy 10-26-2003, 11:14 AM I would stay away from the EBC HH pads. If you brake hard, they are prone to backing plate warpage.
My favs are the Vesrah RJL scintered pads. Not too much initial bite, and excellent feel and one finger stopping power. No probs with fade or warping so far. Also, I like the PF 95s.
largeproject 10-26-2003, 11:35 AM I used Ferode CP911 racing pads, work great one they are hot, cold they ask a lot of hand power to stop, great for track days but for "normale''road use not.
affinity1 06-01-2008, 07:26 PM Are galfer pads any good?
Speed_Devil 06-01-2008, 08:52 PM I'm about to make the leap to some Vesrah's...give ya'll some feedback once they are on :thumbup
bender 06-01-2008, 09:23 PM Jeesh... you really dug deep into the archives for this thread.
Speed_Devil 06-01-2008, 09:33 PM True that.
Mr.Crash 06-01-2008, 09:53 PM Are galfer pads any good?
I ate through two sets on a rear brake in the span of 10,000 miles.
But it was probably due to my rear rotor having some groves in it. :crash
