OK I got a strap for the front and I'm going to try the bike with the front strapped down and the rear preload backed off all the way to get a little more sag. I usually have a little problem with traction but I never really fooled with tire pressures. Whats the best pressure to run in the back? I usually have around 36psi cold before I go down so I'm guessing its gotta be close to 40 when hot, tHanks for any help.

I would back it down but you are going to have to test differnt tire PSI get it just right. Remember lower tire PSI more contact patch thus more traction. I would start about 5lbs lower then factory specs. This is just me and I know you can drop it lower. But I would bet some guys do not drop tire PSI at all. So go out there and test then give us your results.
Last year I went 10 PSI lower on a 600 and it made a big differnce as far as wheel spin off the line. Remember you are walking a fine line between rear tire spinning and you wheeling from too much traction and clutch .
Good Luck

FOr road racing now it depends on weight of rider and tires but around 29-30 psi
I would think you might even run less for drag racing.
