Just a reminder that the Dallas SpeedZone ride is a GO!! The plan is to meet at the Dallas SpeedZone at 11am May 12th. We will goof off at SpeedZone and get to know each other and check out each others bikes. Then we will ride for a bit, stop for lunch and bs, and then head back to SpeedZone. Then we can stand around and tell everyone how cool we are/were...lol It will be a hell of a good time. Everyone is invited. Every kind / brand of motorcycle is invited. This is fun for everyone. Bring money for gas and lunch and a willingness to have a good time, thats all it takes :)

I hope to see some of the forum members at SpeedZone. It would be great to meet some of the people I talk with so often. I have put a motor in the bike and have done a ton of work to be able to make it.

If you live in or near the dallas area I could use your help. I need a ride route. It needs to be about a 100 mile loop. Starting and stoping at SpeedZone. We need a little highway time, and some twisty road time. Also we need at least two ride leaders. These need to be people who have ridden for some time and are very competent riders. We need someone to keep the pace of the group at something everyone can enjoy. Please E-Mail me if you have either a route in mind, and idea for a route, or can help lead the ride. Thanks Guys. I am truly sorry to anyone who's plans this may affect, but the May 12th SpeedZone ride is being changed to the JUNE 9TH SPEEDZONE RIDE. I did not realize when I came up with a date that I picked Mothers day. I am sorry for any inconvience this may cause. I hope to see everyone on June 9TH. Better to keep Mama happy I think :)

I'm there for sure. I don't know too much about what routes to take, but I will do some map research and see what I can come up with. I'll ask around and see who's intrested and get some advice on some back roads. Highways for wheelies around here are a dime a dozen, it's the back roads that you have to look for.

I like to come but don't know
much about Dallas area...

Could you tell me the best way to get there
from Killeen?

which is about 150 miles south from you.

I should also be able to get a few riders
to come with me

Thanks

I know all about Killeen my brother. I was stationed at Ft. Hood for a year and a half.

The quickest way to get here, all be it boring as shit on a sportbike, is east on 190 to 35. You'll go north on I35 literally until Speedzone, it's on the west side of I 35 in Dallas, exit Walnut Hill.

Just remember to take I35E to Dallas when it splits. I35W goes through Ft Worth.

Oh, and Jay...I am a ****in' pearl!

I did a little research and found a road that might be suitable for twisties. I'm going to try and link some mapquest pics, but if it doesn't work just to go Yahoo Maps and search for Mansfield TX and look for route 917.

It's about 35-40 miles from Speed Zone, so it might be a little too far to stay within the 100 mile loop situation. Give it a look and see what you think.

It looks good to me brother. Hard to tell for sure. But to me it's more important that we are all having fun together, than that we are on the "perfect" road. Thank you very much for getting a route. I am ready for june 9th :)

You're gonna hate me my man. I have a family reunion that weekend. :( Is there any way we can make it another weekend?
