That's gonna be some project, it won't just bolt on...

But if you have the skill and time on your hands and the right tools etc you could make it work...

Will end up costing you a shit load in cash mind you...

Don't forget you are gonna have to alter every panel (which could go wrong first time 'round) and you'll have to buy all new headlight units and rear lights and mirrors and screens and seats and well you get the message....

I'd go and buy a 2002 if I were you...

If you ain't got the cash buy a crashed one and do that up, at least you know eveything will fit...

I heard that on a 98 I can use up to 01 plastic, Is that true?

there is a company in the UK that sells a carbon 02 fairing kit for 98-01 bikes (but pricy being carbon). The bodywork is identical to 02 stuff but with some custom brackets. They are debating selling the bracketry on its own. You will have to do a web search as I cant remember who it was, could have been qbcarbon though, or perhaps harris, not sure, have a hunt.

yes, 00-01 plastics will fit 98-99 bikes, as long as you buy the 00-01 headlights, fairing stay, and taillight. tank fits perfect, too. i have a 98 tank on my 01. i just like the shape of it better.
