I am working on Ignition retard box for the R1 bikes. I know that the 1998 YZF-1000, 1999, 2000, 2001 R1's use the same ignition rotor. I have not been able to dig up any info on the 2002 - 2003 models. The Ignition Retard module will enable timing to be retarded for Nitrous Oxide use without damaging the engine(givin the proper setup). This has worked quite well on other brands of motorcycles and I want to get one going for the R1's. I have made them to have adjustable 0,2,4, or 6 degree advance also. It advances the timing from 5,000 to 6,000 RPM so NO detonation occurs at low RPM and you get the advantage of an adjustable advancer at high RPM's. If anyone has info on the 2002-2003 models please reply. If the newer models are EFI and use the same Ignition Trigger Rotor on the crank the Retard/Advance module will still work. Thanks

Hi Dennis, Dave told us that it was in the final stages. Jason Miller and I are going to put it on the 60" Bike. Can't wait!
