Yeah, Swedie got a sponsor, baby!:jump And it's in San Diego? You lucky dog! That's sportbike central, bro! Palomar, Borrego, Montezuma... these places are legendary. I live 90 miles north, but I'd move down there in a second if my work situation allowed it. Post this on esport as well. There's a TON of San Diego people in the Pacific forum, and they're all good guys. BTW, get ready to be pretty sore, cuz in Southern California, we ride like 50 out of 52 weekends a year!

yeah looking like so.. no absolut promises but contact with INS is happening either today or tomorrow or early next week. And the "sponsor" is in San Diego. No names mentioned.. but you'll all gonna love the end result. I can promise you that!!! If i'm lucky.. I might be in the states by the end of the month. Just have to take care of so much here.. Doh! But it will be worth it! :rock So San Diego is nice, eh? Cool.. i love riding and riding 50 out of 52 weekends is not a problem. I ride every weekday too. 90 miles is nothing. that's just an hour away man! We gotta hook up. Make a group ride. all R1-Forum members in the area. Arhh!! i'm so happy!! finally getting out of this place. there's nothing here to get for me. Wanna try out other cultures.. and meet new people. :beer Gonna post it all over the internet once everything has the OK on it... don't wanna promise too much and then having to eat it all up. :no Also gonna have to look on ebay for an R1.. in good shape for around $6000 as that's what I'm gonna get for my R1 over here once it's been re-painted. :p

San Diego is not just 'nice', it's basically Mecca if you ride sportbikes! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Here are 2 URL's to whet your appetite: Map of Sportbike Roads in San Diego County! (http://www.redhotriders.com/images/ride_map.jpg) Info on Palomar Mtn. (one of the best!) (http://www.pashnit.com/roads/cal/Palomar.htm) Good luck, Swedie! We'll hook up and ride, I'm sure.

Hey SWEDIE - Congrats man. Glad to hear the news. I have a question though. Will it affect the forum, or does it move with you? I would hate to have this great thing you have here come to an end. Good luck in your ventures. Jon

yes this site will end.. no reason to continue if I move.. COME ON!!! :lol This site will never end! :fact I might move the server overseas to a server in the states somewhere.. but I'd have to find a reeeeaallly good deal then cuz the one I got RIGHT NOW is free of charge.. can't really beat that eh!? :yesnod

Swedie I live up in Los Angeles and have several connections for web hosting which will cost next to nothing. Before you leave we can work together on immediately pointing your domain to a U.S. server which can work as a temporary or permanent host depending on what you think of the quality of service. Keep my email address handy and let me know when you're ready to move the site. Rick

mrlexo, thanks. Be sure to send me a quick PM ones I'll write a new thread here on R1-Forum telling that I'm leaving for the states.. (could be tomorrow... could be next month) What kind of connections do you have? and what kind of servers? I just need to have a bunch of space.. preferbly my own server machine (dedicated). I'm by faaar a millionare. and when I'm moved over i'll be poorer than I am now. but I hope not.

There are different packages for hosting that you can choose from. I guess the biggest question would be how much data transfer per month this site will be using. We can start with a medium sized package and if it goes over the limit you know you need to upgrade it. What I could do in the meantime for you though is use an existing web server that I have other sites on, to hold you over until you chose a hosting company and package. We'll have to move the site files via FTP to the new server though which either you or I can do. Like I said, just let me know when you're ready.

sure, but is the connection to this site slow? For me it's fast (no wonder..)

I live in Los Angeles and have a cable modem connection. For a forum, this site loads very quickly and does not lag at all. I haven't read any complaints from anyone about this site running at slow speeds.

Hit me up on the weekends and I'll take you up to Palomar or somehting. Do you know what part of San Diego your living in yet? The county is big. Let me know when you get out here though and we'll go for a ride.

mrlexo, I got this server for another year now.. I'll stay with it. Thanks for the offer though. :thumbup SanDiegoRider, sure has hell we should meet up. I love riding hard.. and you'll notice. I hate slow speeds.. have a hard time doing the speed limit. I'm not bragging, I just really have a hard time going slow. but at the same time I don't like going super fast. (sometimes I do.. ) put a new wheelie speed record today and hit 230km/h in 5th gear (starting in 3rd). Absolute looove :makeout I'm not sure yet but I'll try to be close to Poway, CA 92064. Wherever that is in San Diego :) Gotta learn how to surf. But I hate deep water.. dunno why. Just hate to think about what lurks beneath the water surface.. SHARKS!!! argghhh!!

hey man, good to hear you're inbound to san diego in the near future.this place is awesome!i recently went to telegraph canyon rd this past weekend(new rider).but anyway ,it's a good ride.except for the old folks in their convertibles going slow and hogging the road.well,i'm hoping some of these guys that have been offering to show you around could possibly do the same for and some friends of mine.i'm in the service so i don't get to ride very often throughout the week, just weekends.well, good luck and hope to see ya in the states soon.
