To anyone out there
My name is Bill Hartley and I live in Indiana.
I have built a 1998 Turbo R1 that I dragrace .
I am going to step up next year and run in the AMA Prostar Streetbike Shootout Class.
To my knowledge this has never been done with a Yamaha I would like to show all the people out there that a Yamaha R1 can compete in this class and run with the other brands . At my current setup I have been running mid 8's at 170 mph in the 1/4 mile with a stock motor on low boost.
I am going to be building a new motor this winter with good rods and pistons so I turn the boost up. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing some sponsership help with me for next year . I can provide any info on me and my bike that you would need . There has been alot of people asking and looking at this setup. To my knowledge my bike is the quickest R1 in dragracing at this time .
Thank you for your time .

Post up some complete pictures of your bike, list the event schedule by race and post up some 8.50 time slips... I'll spread the word around.

Do you need anything in terms of bodywork? I've been considering making a stretch tail and a lowered gas tank for the R1. Good to see a Yamaha in the mix.
