Dammit!
I managed to make a ding on my tank.

After looking for info, Couldn't find a way to fix it, My brother told me of this product and decided to try it. :no

Useless for the tank, It's too thick I guess for it to work :butt

The dent is about 6cm long by 5mm deep. But I'm anal with my bike.

Does any one know of a good body shop for tanks?
Or a good place to buy at good price?

just an idea that worked on an old dirt bike I had...

take the tank off and fill it with water - leave it in the freezer overnight and dent was gone!

looked good as new!

Seems a good idea, Don't know if it'll work with such a big dent though.

it's worth the try.

a guy i know tried the freezer thing and it didnt work on his though. he had a creas kind like that one too, as long as they arent sharp angles like that most of them usually come out , but your gonna catch hell getting that one out.

even if you are able to pop it out........there will stii be a creas ther since the metal is stretched.........you could take off the gas cap and with a pry bar pop it out then smooth over with body filler and repaint.......

How did that happen?

I dismounted and I dont't usually put the handlebars lock right away prior to removing the key, I did this time and was pushing the bike downhill on a curve to get it through a doorway where I use to store her, as you can imagine stupidity, inertia and a locked steering made me drop it on it's side with the tank receiving the blow against the door frame.

:ugh

You can't fill these tanks up with water to pop the dent out. These tanks are double wall tanks.

the water in the freezer thing won't work on that dent, don't waste your time. I think your only choices are a new tank or taking it to a body shop.

try dry ice

I use it to get dents outta the car from time to time

set it on the tanks and it will freeze and contract the metal and the dents pop right out

dont know if this will work on a bike tank so its up to to decide if you want to try

I have never dented any my tanks in yet so thats the only reason I havent tried it yet
