maps for '02 r1 pcIIIr [Archive]

I have an '02 r1, I have added a yoshimura duplex trs full-system, a power commander IIIr and a K&N air filter. I have tried different maps but as you all know none of them are exactly right. I have altered a Kerker map just enogh for the mass of fuel to not blow my can off the back of the bike. I hope that some one has some advice or maybe a map that will perform better than mine. I am tired of the '03 gsx-r smokin my as!. I know i probably would not be able to catch the gsx, but i would like for the R1 to perform a little better. and maybe give the local boys on them gsx-rs a run for there money. Please send help, keep it safe, but FAST. Sharky Smurf

Is it so rich that the rich/lean setting on the box won't clean the map up enuff? If it's still way too much off, a custom map would be your best option..... since there is no two bikes alike.... Experiment with some of the maps martinc has to offer as well... > http://borg20011.tripod.com/opening_page1.htm (you gotta look for them but there is a TON of maps on that site)... If your still getting beat way to bad, I can get you set up with some NOS, that will wax your gixxer problems away for sure..
