Would anyone be interested in an AKRAPOVIC group buy??

I would like to get an Akrapovic slip on, but I was hoping to get a deal... I just talked to my dealer, and he told me that I could save a bunch if I put together a group buy. If there are others interested, he will give me a price. To give you an idea, I am thinking we can save $100 to $150 bucks off of a $450 pipe. More off of a more expensive pipe. Don't quote that....

Would this group buy only be on the Slip-ons? How about Full Systems? Either way if we get a $100-$150 discount alone on slip -on's alone that'd be a sweet deal.. i should be in. But please let me know soon... im planning on ordering my slip-on or full system soon.

I just talked to my dealer...He tells me that full systems retail for $1000 and Slip-ons retail for $599. He just quoted me $500 for a slip on and $900 for a full System....Give me a couple of days....I am gonna talk to the owner (he's a buddy of mine). I think we can do a lot better than that... They come in Carbon Fiber and Titanium...

I want to point out that is the race system for $875. You can also try Starcycle, they have always beat (or at least match) any prices you can find elsewhere. I saw once on this site where somebody had bad luck dealing with Starcycle but I've never had a problem with them and I've bought a ton of stuff from them (it just usually takes longer to get to me since they are on the west coast and I'm on the east coast). www.starcycle.com

Hi, the prices that I quoted are just their REGULAR RETAIL PRICES!!! So expect cheaper prices when we get the group purchase together!! I've spoke to their sales manager and he'll phone me back later today. He's playing with the numbers abit... By the look of it now, I assume that we probably got 10-15 people interested in the group purchase and this is what I told the guy, "I need 10-12 slip-ons, 2 full exhaust systems" Of course the more people we get together, the cheaper they will be. I'll post the group purchase price later today. If I don't have anything posted by 5:30pm PST today, expect the prices to be posted at around 12:00AM PST. (Cause I have to work from 5:30pm-11:30pm PST). Once again, it would be really helpful if I can get the people that are seriously interested in this group purchase to PM/Email me or even just reply to this post and say "I AM IN". I keep seeing people trying to sell the akro exhausts here in the group deals and trying to get as many sales as they can, that's awsome, but what gets me is the people that lobby around waiting to see who is the cheapest, that they can get it for $10 cheaper at another website or that their cousin's brother's uncle's mother has a dealership and can get it for an extra $5 cheaper if they can get 10 people to buy it. I mean come on. That is not a "Group Deal". If they can get 10 people to buy it and give them a deal of $400, then that is a "Group Deal". I bought mine with Cyclemall.net and I didn't mind paying the $505 for it. And I didn't need a "Group Deal" to get that price. I believe that you should find a dealer you are comfortable with and are comfortable with the price and just buy the damn thing, don't wait until someone "Jews" down the price for $5 or $10 on an article that is $500. Ricardo, Don't take my words out of context. When you read my entire message, you will see that my post relates to "Group Deals". As far as someone tryng to save some cash on an individual basis, more power to them. But when someone is trying to put a $5000 deal together to save $50, I don't see the point. And Young, who is a financial and vocal wizard straight out of Hogwarts doesn't seem to realize that when a "Group Deal" is put out, it should have substantial savings not just $5 or $10. If I can get 10 people together to spend $5000 for a business, I expect to save at leat 10-15% over the best deal for an individual.
