Hey All, New guy here (alias James) I am from Burlington, N.C. I have a blue 2000 R1. Mods list is short: K&N, Carbon heel guards, DID 520 conversion w/ RRP Sprocket 15/43, scratched up right side hopefully soon to be fixed. That's about it for now. Look forward to talking to you soon.

Glad to have here from ya. I am in Virginia Beach...have a couple of guys up here who ride. Where abouts is Burlington in relation to Va Beach?

Hey, Burlington is about a 3 1/2 hour ride from VA Beach. I had two uncles stationed in Norfolk. Looong ride down 58.

Well then someday we will meet on the way to deals gap. I plan on hitting it late next Spring. Will be bringing some folks from up this way.

I am planing a trip down the blue ridge parkway in october. I just wrecked my ride last week though due to a mechanical malfunction. I am currently putting it back together and should be on track. I was gonna ride from Boone to Asheville and then Asheville to Deal's Gap. I'll prob. hook up with you in the spring too.

Prob a good thing it was last month. Hurricanes tend to play hell on Motorcycles. I have some friends in Wilmington that survived ok though. Never been to NYC, may have to make my way up there eventually. Later

Sup SAR I am new here too. I hit the Blue Ridge, 181, and Boone on a regular basis I am only about a 1/2 hour away! I have been through Burlington quite a bit. Better riding out here I think. Hit me back if you are gonna be coming out this way and we can carve them up together. Havent been riding with anyone in a while since my best friend just moved up to Maryland. Good to meet someone from the same neck of the woods...kinda. Later.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I am sure I will be on more often once I get my ride fixed. I am still waiting on the clipon from California. I still need to find grips, throttle sleeve, and figure out how the hell to get my left crankcase cover off. That gasket material is proving to be very difficult.:rant
