BTurnerR1 05-14-2002, 02:29 PM I checked out your site and if I am mistaken those prices aren't posted on the site. I am assuming that those prices are only offered to Forum members???? joe-yamma 05-14-2002, 02:53 PM i've seen such a variation in full system pricing, but little to no variation in slip-on pricing....
what's up with that ??? :(
$487 is a good price (compared to $550), but hotbodiesracing.com has "cash pricing" for them at $483 with no group purchase. isn't he a forum sponsor too??? mabye a group discount ??? madman 05-14-2002, 05:57 PM Hej evrybody:hellobye
 I don't now how this work They just sold me akra c-f for 505.00:confused:  BTurnerR1 05-14-2002, 09:47 PM Like I said before other than those three you listed, what are the deals on everything else, like the Ti race system I don't think people care about the stainless and the 98-01 slip ons and the high mounts and the things that people want. Cyclemall.Net 05-14-2002, 10:17 PM Just email me your needs, and I will provide you with my best quote.
Frank
frank@cyclemall.net Cyclemall.Net 05-14-2002, 10:30 PM The "ti race system" is stainless. The Evolution is the full titanium system, and I have listed that pricing. If you are personally interested in "your application", just email for the quote.
I will be more than happy to explain the different systems to you.
Thank you for your interest,

Akro - Titanium slip-on - $490.50
Akro - Titanium full system - $869.50
Can't beat it.
Here's my slip-on..

Akrapovic slip-ons for the 2002 R1 $487.
Akrapovic stainless Race systems $815.
Akrapovic full titanium Evolution systems $1140.
We have quantities of each in stock The One 05-14-2002, 10:44 PM Can you get a high mount for the 02 and if so can you retain your rear pegs ? Cyclemall.Net 05-14-2002, 10:54 PM When, and if they do we will have them. THe day the shipment hits the US, we have them ready to ship. PsychoBlueR1 05-14-2002, 10:58 PM No, read carefully... Titanium full system...$869
Akro doesn't make high-mounts. PsychoBlueR1 05-14-2002, 10:59 PM Just curious...why would you want to add weight by installing a stainless system?
The entire stock system is Titanium already. Just a thought. Cyclemall.Net 05-14-2002, 11:08 PM If you wish to weigh your stock system, I can then weigh the stainless system, and the full titanium evolution system, then we all will know.....

Cyclemall.net The One 05-14-2002, 11:42 PM whats shipping on a titanium to 29607??? The One 05-14-2002, 11:44 PM Slip on that is. sorry.. BTurnerR1 05-15-2002, 02:08 AM Jesus Christ,
Akra does make high mounts first of all www.kneedraggers.com has them for 495. And I think I see Cyclemall and $815 for a full system and Liquid has something like $869, last I checked 815 beats 869. I read it again and I still see that cyclemall is cheaper so I don't exactly see why Liquid wants anyone to read agian it will only make cyclemall look better. I think that you are mistaking the Evolution that cyclemall has posted for 1140, wich is a different pipe. Race system and Evolution system are different:iamwithst
And if I am the idiot and you are selling the Evolution system for 869 that is 500 cheaper than retail I would say that is a good deal. Cyclemall.Net 05-15-2002, 08:49 AM One more time. Akrapovic does not currently produce a high mount slip-on, or system for the 2002 R1.
Akrapovic does (as everyone should know) produce a high mount slip-on, and system for the 98-01 R1.

It seems like you deal with a large quantity of Akra systems. Do you know where I could find a custom FI map for my PCIII for the race full system? I've been desperately searching since the nearest Dyno shop is 350miles away. Any help is appreciated, and thanks for the system. It rocks. NY2NJ 05-15-2002, 09:05 AM No, read carefully... Titanium full system...$869
This may be the Titanium can with stainless steel headers (race system which, by the way, is still lighter than stock), but the Evolution system (Ti headers and Ti can) can't possibly be going for $869. PsychoBlueR1 05-15-2002, 09:09 AM Well, that's what I was quoted.
Oh well...who cares. I'm not the expert anyway.
Just posting what I was told. NY2NJ 05-15-2002, 09:25 AM Well, that's what I was quoted.
Were you specifically told that the price was for an Evolution system with Ti headers and a Ti can or were you just told Ti Full System? I'm not doubting you or trying to bust your balls. I'm just trying to understand. I'll give them a call today, but that Cyclemall quote is the best I've seen. Cyclemall.Net 05-15-2002, 09:25 AM Scorpius,
We have an offer of assistance in to Dynojet, to provide them with a customer bike, and all 2002 Akrapovic product available to them. We are awaiting their response (they are currently attending roadraces)
As soon as we have them, we will offer all maps, with no additional charge for installation for our Power Commander, or Akrapovic customers.
And most of all Scorpius, thank you for your business.

EUROVAMP 05-15-2002, 10:32 AM I keep seeing people trying to sell the akro exhausts here in the group deals and trying to get as many sales as they can, that's awsome, but what gets me is the people that lobby around waiting to see who is the cheapest, that they can get it for $10 cheaper at another website or that their cousin's brother's uncle's mother has a dealership and can get it for an extra $5 cheaper if they can get 10 people to buy it. I mean come on. That is not a "Group Deal". If they can get 10 people to buy it and give them a deal of $400, then that is a "Group Deal". I bought mine with Cyclemall.net and I didn't mind paying the $505 for it. And I didn't need a "Group Deal" to get that price. I believe that you should find a dealer you are comfortable with and are comfortable with the price and just buy the damn thing, don't wait until someone "Jews" down the price for $5 or $10 on an article that is $500. If there is a $100-$150 difference then sure, wait then. But not for $5-$10. We sound like damn beggars.
THE WORLD IS YOURS BTurnerR1 05-15-2002, 06:36 PM Hey Frank I sent you an e-mail about the prices you offer on the '99 Ti high mount slip-ons and the normal slip-ons. If you get this before the e-mail you can just post it instead of e-mailing me back. PsychoBlueR1 05-15-2002, 07:11 PM Originally posted by ny2nj

I called back today, they misquoted me. That's what I figured, but I always want to share great deals with others. I hate to see people get ripped off. Didn't you post this exact same post somewhere else? If you don't want in on "group deals", don't get in. No one's twisting arms here. Trying to get a good price doesn't make you a begger, it makes you a smart shopper and paying retail makes you a fool. In any event, this wasn't an organized group deal. Cyclemall posted his prices and didn't mention the minimum number of curstomers necessary for the deal to go through.
Frank, how come my friend got charged 505 for his akra slipon couple days ago????? and now you say its 487???????
Simple. Your friend is a sucker :lol. j/k EUROVAMP 05-17-2002, 09:37 AM NY2NJ,
I accidently posted it in 2 of the threads, didn't mean to. In the other thread, there is a guy stating that if if he gets 10 people together, they can save 2%. Which is about $8. joe-yamma 05-17-2002, 11:30 AM sorry guys, but i hear what EUROVAMP is saying. :iamwithst
(please don't flame me, this board is way too good to soil it with that kind of stuff) :)
i think that vendors should be invited to post once.
that's right, once. post your best price and that's it.
they don't need a group buy because if they post their BEST price on this board, and the price is indeed the best price around, then they will get more business in the long-run (from word-of-mouth) than they ever would from a group buy. :thumbup
for the record, i have nothing against group buys. i like to say a buck or two wherever i can.
this is just my crazy idea. :finger NY2NJ 05-17-2002, 12:38 PM No flaming from me because I actually I agree with both of you -- to an extent.
I understand that these vendors are in business to make money. Price wars are part of the game. However, businesses don't become successful based on how many new customers thay can reel in on group buys. A successful business relies more on customer retention. Customers are more likely to return if they know you have the best prices or you are at least selling close to the best price.
Should the discounts for group buys be greater? In most cases they should. I usually don't get into group buys because the discounts aren't usually worth the time and effort, I'd rather pay full price somewhere else and avoid the added hassle of middlemen.
However, this wasn't a group buy. For whatever reason, Cyclemall listed prices that are about 10% lower than what I've seen from other vendors with no conditions and I'm taking advantage of it. kreationzx 05-17-2002, 06:43 PM Just got my Full Race Akrapovic System from Frank (cyclemall.net)... everything worked out perfectly!!!! also got my PCII, and Intuitive Frame sliders... great turn around time..
ill be posting pixs up soon. hozer 05-22-2002, 04:02 PM It is very simple people, you can either make it real easy on yourself and deal with someone who know's what he is doing and talking about(Frank @ Cyclemall.net). Or you can call someone else who is just an average every day order taker and maybe just maybe you might get what you are really asking for.
