i got the adjustable bone on order from schnitz. how do i have to modify the kickstand to still be able to use it? can i have it bent or does it need to be cut and re welded? if so how much do you guys think should be cut off?
also, how bad will a 3" drop in the rear effect my street riding?

Cut and weld is the best way.... Your bike will be sitting just about straight up with the bike 3 inches below.. We use the new style adjustable kickstands now and I think they slide about an inch up when the bikes are lowered... If you bend the kick out, it'll stick out too far for regular riding...
As far as riding on the street.. Wheelies are compromised due to the less travel and ground clearance is less due to the foot pegs being much lower..... It'll still ride fine..

I was riding around with 3.5" lower in the front and 3" in the rear for a long time. At the time I was using a rear shock (now strut) and I could still manage to smoke my buddies through the twisties on their stock height bikes (r1's) Granted, I like to live on the edge and was bottoming out the front end and the left and right sides of the lowers got a little scraped up. It was a bit like riding a bucking bronco. but I had to prove my point to my riding buddies that a lowered bike can still be ridden in other than a straight line. I was pushin it as hard as I could- spinning up the tire out of turns. In normal to slight agressive riding it was fine with no scraping at all. Only when you really start going was it an issue.
I recently rode my buddies stock height 02' and it feels like I'm riding in a 4X4 or a MX bike. I don't think I'll ever go back to stock height. It feels too damn tall for me now.
