OZ Wheels are now shipping from Cyclemall.net
Retail $1600. Sale $1495.
Only the finest materials on the market and the best production technologies have been used in order to reach ambitious weight and rigidity standards. Wheels are made of forged 6151 aluminium using an 8000 t forging press. Starting with the 2001 season, this technology, which up to now was only used for F1, formula Sport, Rally and other series, will also be used for motorbike wheels, thus producing wheels with no porosity - a risk of the casting process - with excellent material specifications and a weight similar to that of carbon fibre wheels.
Each model of wheel is supplied with all the accessories needed for mounting, such as bearings, spacers, dust covers; no other accessories need to be purchased. All wheels are direct bolt-on, utilizing your stock cush drive, and brake rotors.
The new wheels are available in three colours: gold, silver and black. Colours applied by anodising add less weight compared to traditional painting methods. They also offer improved durability and scratch-resistance. This type of finish makes the wheels particularly attractive as well.
HL-01 - Single Spoke Wheel

Using technology developed by O·Z through their racing activities with Aprilia, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) computer design created a six-spoke rear wheel and a five-spoke front wheel, providing excellent lateral and torsional rigidity, maintaining stable suspension balance. The use of 6151 aluminum reduces weight by up to 25%!
HL-02 - Split Spoke Wheel

With all the technology and weight-savings in the HL-01 wheel, O•Z offers the split-spoke wheel for those desiring a visual distinction. It comes in the same five-spoke front and six-spoke rear configuration as the HL-01, and provides weight savings of up to 6 lbs. per wheel!

There wont be much weight savings.. the R1 stock wheels are pretty light. I would say your money is better spent on other things like a rear shock for example.

Those things look pretty wicked but I think the stockers would look just as good with a gold powerdcoat for $200 CDN. Polishing the stockers and applying translucent gold would look fricken awesome!

$1600 retail and $1495 on sale? A measly 6.5% off? Come on, you have to be alittle more aggressive than that to call it a "sale" price.
