80 mph on hwythojboyr1 05-16-2002, 12:01 PM Just want to know how do you guy get it up on the freeway going 80 or so..What gear are you in and is it all power or clutch have to be involve....I could get it up in 1st and 2nd but if I'm on the freeway and some chick just can't stop lookin @ my bike I want to bring it up for her...Please someone teach me ..Really wan't to learn. when @ 80, grab the clutch, drop into 3rd, grab some throttle (a little over 3/4 should do it) and pretty much dump the clutch.
don't let it wind up too much. the time between you grabbing the throttle and you dumping the clutch is like less than a second.
