Theres significant discussion regarding stands but not much that I can find on spools. I know these are kinda small parts and small details but I'd like to hear if anyone has an opinion on spool manufacturers and spool vendors on the web.
I have the flamed R1 and would prefer a black spool but i've read that these scratch easily and look crappy after a while.
If you have any manufacturer/web site recommendations on this subject I'd like to hear them.
Thanks in advance,
fd
Goto www.Pit-Bull.com they sell black spools in either plastic or metal. I would stick with Pit Bulls stands, my friends use LP and Redline stands and I only use Pit Bull stands and you can tell a difference. The overall feel/build of a Pit Bull stand in my opinion is worth the few extra dollars, plus the Pit Bulls can easily be converted to other stands cheaply...such as a forklift for $50(i think) can be converted to a front stand that lifts from the lower triple tree and stuff. Stick with Pit Bull!

I have Intuitive spools, which also doubles as swing-arm sliders. They're black and blends in with the rest of the bike pretty well. As for their slider function - they work 'cause my swing-arm is without a scratch after a 15-feet slide on gravel...
I got them from www.tobefast.com.
