We are now importing Dymag wheels and their amazing Carbon fiber swingarm for the 98-01 R1. http://www.cyclemall.net/images/dymagarm.gif The info on the Dymag carbon fiber swingarm is: 32% lighter than stock arm 14% greater torsional rigidity than stock arm Complete traceability of manufacturing process & materials. The whole process from design to mould manufacture to final product is completely contained within Dymag’s own facilities Supplied with replaceable Carbon chain protector to prevent the chain damaging the arm Supplied with rear hugger Suits standard wheels and brakes (or Dymag options), but requires longer spindle (supplied) Designed using computer finite element analysis and 3D modelling Tested using in-house test facilities to 3 tons vertical static load attached via the suspension pick-up point. No damage to the arm, but the 0.5” diameter attachment bolt was severely bent! Test rig was unable to apply any greater load Followed up by track & road tests. Test rider reported more precise handling when laying the power down, which he attributed to the increased torsional stiffness. Using the stock arm, the bike was prone to side-to-side movement under heavy acceleration out of a corner under racetrack conditions. This characteristic has been eliminated with the C/fibre arm No R1 should be without one!! $2600. Frank http://www.cyclemall.net 866 292 5362

WOW! That swingarm is NICE! I'm sure sooner or later all of the motorcycle is available in carbon. In fact Carbotech of Austria has already built a carbon frame for Ducati...
