Petrol_Spice 11-27-2003, 09:24 PM Hey man, what's up.......
I've been out of the loop for a while. Got ripped off by a Fairing dealer here in Brisbane - was supposed to get a solo seat for Monoman while he was away eatin' sand and I ordered/paid for the solo seat and it never came so I was plenty pissed. Dude said it would be here on Friday - Thursday - Friday - next week - the 15th etc, etc, no the shop front is gone and the blokes number is disconnected and I have to get the money to Monoman, he probably thinks me a Cahn too.
Other then that it's been great. What's going on in your world? Did you get to the Island for the race?
BG Sindikat 12-09-2003, 06:20 PM Sorry Petrol for taking so long to get back to you, but i got no internet at home plus i've been busy at work.
don't you just hate waiting for parts.....i like it when i call a place up and hear that they have the part in stock and that they'll put it aside just for you.
I just had to wait 4 weeks for a part to come from Japan.
Got a mate in brizzy who makes parts for racersden.com if you interested let me know and i'll pass on his details. He came down to syd whilst the rugby was on and i asked if he could make me a single seat out of C.F. Still trying to scrape the cash together.
Yeah managed to go down to the island.....**** it was AWESOME.
The thrusday ride Syd-P.I nearly broke my back but i was on a mission - support Bayliss to the end!!!
Hopefully next year there'll be a lot more of us down there from the tyre-fryers squadron!!!
Anyway gotta jet, if i don't hear from you before Chrissy have a good one and rock up the New Year!!!!
Regards,
Sindikat.

Petrol_Spice 12-15-2003, 03:56 PM Need to organise a Queensland party. Let me know when you are back adn we'll get into it.
R1 Cr@zY 12-17-2003, 01:56 PM yeah, good idea. i should be back around mid to late jan.
we will organise something for then huh??
Y-TRY 12-17-2003, 03:28 PM Hmmmm. Qld.
Maybe a bit far for me to travel.... How about a party half way? lol.
twodogs 12-19-2003, 02:03 AM I'm still waiting for me Tyre Fryer sticker from that cahn Petrol Spice.
I've been in two high speed pursuits lately, and got clocked by a fixed speed camera at 150kmh in an 80 zone (plate covered) so I would have been a great ambassador for the Tyre Fryers, if I had me stinkin sticker!
I'm having this recurring dream of getting the "pull over arsehole" message form some self righteous road nazi, only to point out my "Tyre Fryer" sticker to him, hoist a nice wheelie, and fark off into the distance.
BTW, anyone have a pic of a cartoon police car I can have made into a sticker? I want to put one on my fairing each time I get away with a high speed pursuit.
Y-TRY 12-21-2003, 05:46 PM Sure twodogs... here are a few but anything else particular you want in it?

R1 Cr@zY 01-19-2004, 05:31 AM man....... those are not right....
i mean come on.... would you put any of those on your fairing??:no
Jaydee 01-20-2004, 11:45 PM How do u guys cover ur plates?

yammie 01-21-2004, 06:45 AM i sometimes just use that silver gaffa tape on the plate

Jaydee 01-21-2004, 10:24 PM I actually considered trialing mounting my number plate to little hinges, so that when u go fast the wind lifts ur plate up. But when ur stopped it hangs right down.
Ive got a fender eliminator, so would b pretty easy to do. But been too lazy to try it.
Ne opinions on this idea? Anyone reckon itd work or not?
skyjo 01-21-2004, 10:31 PM gaffer tape = duct tape
i have been enlightened thank you
yammie 01-21-2004, 10:57 PM How would you mount your hinges to your undertail ????
Personally i"d like pop rivert them but just for a thought here extra strenght drill holes and get a backing plate or use small washers that fit over the riverts heads for the strenght of not pulling thru.
Do you understand what i mean im not sure if i quiet explained that clearly, I know what i mean just others seem to misunderstand me on how i explain thing
I was after one of those stealth plates at one stage but cant get them in OZ or USA anymore  but did also read that they dont handle the abuse of mono"s & stoppies to good either
gaffatape = duct tape = about $2 from crazy clakes
Jaydee 01-21-2004, 11:04 PM Yeah i was after one of those stealth plates too. But the company in the UK dont make them ne more :(
Yeah either pop rivets or sum tiny mechano nuts n bolts wif a touch of locktight.
yammie 01-23-2004, 05:56 AM jaydee if you give me a couple of days i just remembered that i saw a cool looking picture of a R1 rego plate holder on a website i"ll find it and either post the picture or give you the sites name and where to look, on this holder you can hook a solidnoid up so it folds under i"ll get back to you on this later if you want
yammie 01-23-2004, 07:20 AM Finially found it

Jaydee 01-23-2004, 07:28 AM Thx, but i got a Libertek Fender Eliminator on it a few months ago.
But hinging the plate onto the Fender eliminator would do the same thing i guess.

Dude,
Sort of. Duck tape is more or less like plastic it stretch easily. Gaffer is like canvas material. You see people use it a lot to tape down cables to the ground. They use it a lot on stage for concert, play (as in Shakespeare) or TV Studio. It is very tough in terms of wear and tare.
Cheers
Rob

Guys there is a new spray in a can call "Number Plate Blocker" or something like that. You spray your plate with this clear liquid and when you take a photo of your plate you see absolutely nothing....BLUR1 has a can of it and can tell you where to get it....
Hope this helps....
Lord_Phat 01-23-2004, 06:18 PM heard a few people bagging it in the thread where greg was yakking about it
