Just another exhausting question.....I am about to purchase an Akropvic slip-on and am wondering if there will be any jetting or mixture changes that will need to be made. This was necessary on my R6, but my dealer told me that on the R1 it was not necessary. Is this correct or should I be taking it to someone who knows what they are talking about?
Thanks

It shouldn't need it.
I have a slip on and it runs great with it, actually +2 HP dynoed (big deal huh?) lol
For the money, why by an Akra slip on? They aren't loud at all, and pretty damn expensive (unless you are getting a really good price on it).

you can probably get away with out it but any time you change the aspiration at either end you need to adjust your carbs
With a slip-on you'll notice popping on deceleration unless you turn your mixture screws 3 1/2 turns out. Thats all you'll need to do. Don't waste your money on a jet kit (save that for when you go to a full system):blah
