I just moved here to socal in oct of this year and have been looking into finding some tracks nearby. I ofcourse found out info about Cali speedway in fontana and know of willow springs, but, is that it?? Isn't there other tracks around I could hit up for some riding time. To be truthful every time I ride out here in socal I get a little anxiety attack, these freaking people scare the $hit outta me. They get ya in numbers too. Freaking tons of them! thanks

Hehehe...I hear ya man!

As far as I know the main ones around are the AMA in Fontana, Big Willow, Streets of Willow, Button Willow....I think that's about it for so called "local" tracks.

thanks for the additional info. I'll look into those tracks and see what's up. Hopefully the drive isn't a helluva long ways.

SoCal bikers (I'm in San Diego) are basically screwed. There are no road tracks any closer than Fontana. There are a few dirt tracks, but that's it Willow Springs is great, with lots of cheap track days through the year, reliable weather, and multiple tracks (Big Track, Streets of Willow, and now Horsethief), but is a long haul. Buttonwillow is a bit farther than WIllow. Pahrump isn't a whole lot farther than Buttonwillow. For good cheap track days at Willow, checkout MTC Track Days.

I know I'm being a biaatch but the fact of the matter is I will have to get a trailer to haul the 1 around. Not entirely a bad idea anyhow especially with going to track days. Just don't want to fork out the cash and on the other hand don't want to get smoked by a gracery getter cutting halfway through my lane in the twisties. :bash
Thanks guys, I'll remove my head from my ace now.

Repo, is horsethief open? Thats the new track they were putting inbetween the big track and the 'Streets', right? I only got to see them starting to build it before I left the state.

Horsethief is open. I've ridden it twice now and it's awesome. A bit like Streets (only better, IMO) in that it's a slower track but with tons of tight turns and elevations changes (very challenging).

I think I need to go and check out Willows site and see if the have pictures up yet. MTC doing the track days on it? What are they charging?

I'm doing my first track day with MTC on the 16th on the big track for $75 - which is a lower price than they usually charge. Normally, they are considerably less expensive than any other organization for days on Streets or the big track. Eyespy can give you all the info you need regarding MTC.
