How do you go about selling a gun privately?

U take it apart, and sell it as "pieces" or "parts". Then the buyer would then re-assemble it.

Nah, I talked to my friend John (whos a registered gun dealer). He said all you gota do is sell it "as parts" Well Id love to buy an AK, if i had the money, but I dont, thats why im selling my sks.

Uhh, you can sell it as parts or as a whole rifle. If you part it out, you MAY NOT SEND THE RECIEVER to anyone onther than a FFL dealer. just like the guy above said...the receiver is just like the whole gun whether its by itself or not... kind of think of it like a bike. the frame is the thing that matters. that must be transfered although parts dont when you buy a bike. i am always looking for more guns and ammo especially if i can trade some parts but unfortunately i am located in maryland. not to butt in on the thread but i may be interested in buying the ak in manassas, va. email me at r1champs@aol.com with the details of what you are looking to get for it and what model it is.

that is alot of ammo.. wow... anyways.. my friend here in PA... has a H&K Mp5.. it has the switch on the side for single shot, 3 shot burst, 5 shot burst, and of couse.. Full Auto... it is really sweet... it cost him $8 Grand... and his brother has a cheaper one that is only single, 3 shot, 5 shot... and that was $3 grand... gun collecting is deffinatly an expensive hobby..
