Spicey, a couple of days before the GP, a cage knocked poor Adsy from the bike, wrote the bike off, and luckily Adam was not written off. Although he was in horsepiddle for a while with basically everything on the left side (i think it was) broken, and some of the right side as well. Needless to say, the bike was written off, his *touchy subject* ex g/f bought a Nissan silvia, and there went the dosh for a new bike. But now he is banging anything and everything with a pulse, gonna sell the sylvia when he gets back on Oz soil and get an R6 like the champ he is!! *only 'cause he's getting a 6 hahah* So not the nicest of stories, but better the bike than him I reckon.

mate i'd love to, except i can't at midnight. i have to get up at 5am most mornings to go training, so i need to be in bed by 10pm so i can get as much sleep as I can. But if take any time off training and work I would for sure mate. It sounds like good fun. :thumbup

Well, I might as well post it on here as you all may want to know; he other day I took my R1 (which I love and adore) to my friends car wash in the city. When I was talking to him he said... let me get the guys to wash you bike... no charge. So I said "sure". Well, half way through the way the c0ck pushed it a little hard and pushed it over on its side! FARK!!!! Needless to say I went completely off! They ended up bending the clutch lever, scratching the mirror, engine cover and also the rear fairing. Oh, plus they broke the nickle plated foot peg! All up I am looking at quite a few $$$ to restore to how it was... perfect! now they are saying at the time the bike fell, the guy was not touching it! damn..... why dont they just make it a little harder for me to get the money from them! I should get the final quote today, how exciting. Sorry, I just needed someone to whinge at! FARK!!!!

Hey Cad. I remember ya. Pete, I know. But we can make it. :thumbup Well to those that are interested, finally had my first pushbike race today, came 6th out of about 30. I'm happy 'cause my main aim was just to finish, but as it turned out I was in with a shot of the win - I was actually thinking I could halfway through the race. I was 4th wheel as we came into the back straight, but then about 8 riders came up on my right and i was boxed in, went around the last turn about 9th or 10th wheel, and made up a few with the sprint to the line. So I'm pleased, and now I know which areas I need more training in. Hope all who rode (the motorbikes) had a good and safe weekend. :) JJ

hehe well done I remember my 1st race around 15 yrs ago, nervous as anything, but once riding, forgot the nerves and my aim was to keep up front, as ya do more races. you get more aggressive, ie if ya boxed in, dont be afraid to use elbows to push ya self out wide :)

hahahah thanks Dan and Pete. Yeah Paul, i should have corrected myself, it was my first race as a Senior Elite. I used to race pushies when I was in school, about 10 yeras ago, as a J13, J15 and J17 (the J stands for Junior for those that aren't sure :b) but had about 5 years off a bike. I've been around these things all my life, my uncle went to Europe and tried to turn pro, but it was so hard 30 years ago if you weren't European. Also my dad sponsored cycling teams when i was racing, (David McKenzie and Rob Crowe were 2 of the riders who rode for him) and I ride with Crowey now. He is the classic fun rider. He makes a joke out of anything and when you're riding in a pack, sometimes he will pop up out from nowhere and surprise you. :lol :lol So yeah, it will all come back to me (hopefully). I'm not sure if you know also but my sister became a state champion last year, in only her second year of cycling, so it is big in my family. We have been told that she and I have the 'cycling' jean. :lol :lol Hopefully I'll keep my feet in it and train real hard and be an A-grader by the end of the year so I can get a spot in the Bay Crits next year. I've only really been back on for 6 months, and I know I can do it. I was ranked 3rd best sprinter in the state for my age when I was 17 after I won a bronze medal at the Schoolboy's champs in 99, and that was after I had been off a bike for 6 months. I think I am not far off the form I was in back then, so hopefully I will get past it soon and move on to bigger and better things. Sorry I didnt post on the weekend.... Headed up the old road and only just came back! Had a great ride where 2 forums went together so we ended up having about 40 bikes. The ride was awsome along the old road and there was no stopping untill the factories after the windies.... We went to a place they call 'the runway', which is just basically a huge straight coming to a dead end. Many people were just showing their skills... Anyway... I wanted to share a few pics of us and also a few of the stunts. No there are no pics of me on one wheel.... I am camera shy! Fark!!!!! Please see post below for URL for some pictures! Oh, and there was only the one.... problem? lol. Just happen to be cruising on 1 wheel when this guy went past. Apparently the cop was nice and said he could choose the infringement... i had after hours work to do last night 3am-4am shift is never fun after a huge weekend on the :beer have they fixed up the old road? or is it still bumpy as ****? went through there at about 5am on the way to brizzy late last year, really didn't have the energy to rodeo the whole way through, my poor sore ass wouldn't tolerate it :cryin

They have done some work to it.... but some parts are still pretty bad. I guess even the parts they have fixed does not feel the best... feels like your tyres wont grip it much. Still had a ball... felt like a cannon ball run the whole way then spent an hour or two stunting. Was a great day!

You can get one on the day... you have to join broadford club ($80) and pay for your rec licence ($65 i think) and then pay the $77 for the track day... but once you have paid for broadford membership and your rec licence, any Sunday the track is open for practice you only pay $77 for the day... totally worth it..... Ari, I'm not sure if things have changed but it used to cost $65 for your rec license AND joining broadford (license is $55 and club membership is $10) well that's what it used to be anyway when i joined in 01. Or have they increased their subs from $10 to $80??
