HAS ANYONE SWAPED A 02 MOTOR INTO A 99 R1. wHAT TYPE OF PROBLEMS IF ANY DID YOU RUN INTO. aRE THE MOTOR MOUNTS THE SAME, THINKING BOUT SWAPING, PLESE HELP ME OUT

I was going to do the same thing. I talked to yamaha and graves motorsports. It can not be done without major frame work . Graves said that they were going to do the project but found that the engine would not line up properly and the motor mounts had to be relocated.

this has got to be the dumbest mod. with all the shit you need, you might as well go out and buy an 02 and get all the other good stuff as well.
