Q-ride

Any 1 here done q-ride and wat do u guys reckon? Is it worth it? Or am i better just taking the test for my r license and then gettin a track day or 2?

I also need to get my suspension set up. If any one can tell me where i can get this done in brissy too, ill be oblidged. Im guessing prolly down springwood way?

had a coupla mates who've done q-ride... good way to get on a bigger bike quicker... though that's not always a good thing :crash

My wife did her Q-Ride, although she's still rinding a 250. They taught her a hell-of-alot! Everything from figure-8s in a two space carpark to stopping from high speed. They also taught her how to read the traffic, which is an invaluable skill! But then thats who she went through.. they were good and expensive. (just under $1000) I did mine just to get my license, having riden for years and years with out one, cost me $65 and thats exactly what I got! They guys I did it for didnt even watch what I was doing half the time. Lucky I could ride already... But then they probably didnt feel like teaching a guy on an R1 about counter-steering. If I got there alive, I guess they figured I could ride alright. :D

I did Stay Upright advanced in Melbourne and H.A.R.T level 1 through 6. in Melbourne and Canberra, I thought that Q-RIDE was just a method of getting a license for a big bike? As for your Suspension I have a lot of experience in Suspension - worked in the field, bike only, no car experience at all and have a connection that runs a shop on the Goldie that does bike suspension for a living if you want some advice I could help you.

Yeah i wasnt exactly sure how much of a help q-ride would be to someone who's been riding for a while anyway. I'll think i'll save my $ for some track days :) Petrol whats the location of your shop, and so could pop in one day to get my suspension adjusted.

Buja, There is Queensland Raceway - track and drag strip There is Lakeside - but I don't know if it's open regular enough or open anymore There is Mount Cotton There is Norwell that's about it.

me... i am in da UK just now.. i flew in from Norway 2 days ago. I am in Europe for a holiday after the accident.. :mad: But i am having a blast and scoring more than ever!

hahahaha..... Go to Norway.. the women are gorgeous and sooo easy with the aussie accent. (it could just be that i am dead sexy, ;)) Plus the snowboarding all day and partying with damn fine women all night... it is a kick ass country!!!

yeah i agree, its a bad ass paintjob...heh but a bit too bright n flashy for my taste but...hmm....by all means go fer it ! there is the corona edition for 600cc i think...but the yellow is kinda darker tone.... make it a brighter tone n go for it ! heh confirm a head turner

yeah I heard it was quite a piece of cake though it costs $$ . (hmm but probably the feedback was from experienced riders. All the requirements and stuffs they put you thru, its pretty simple if you have been thru the test b4. This is more of a guide as they access you thing.) and i think it can be done in a day or 2 ....gotta check it out later

Yeah it is more for people who are inexperienced riders wanting to jump on a big bike. Teaches them the skills to ride the big mummas. :lol
