alright, in all the wisdom that is contained within this place..someone has GOT to know a surefire way to do rolling burnouts without running risk of flipping the bike on top of my dumbass. id like to be moving before i start the burnout..no front brake if it all possible. :rock maybe im just confused:crash

It helps to have a cold tire and smooth pavement, start rolling pull in the clutch, gas it to about 7-8 rpm and let her rip. Just like doing a clutch wheelie. Lean forward and stand up a little. Works for me.

jboat, so you use your cluth as a "speed control" while doing burnout? without using your front break??? I have to try that...

rolling burnouts are the best. The most sure fire way to ensure that you light them up and not pull the front up is to use lots of gas! Get rolling at a comfy speed - clutch in, gas UP, front break on - clutch out! pin that clutch out and away you go. smokin' them down the road!! If you dont' give it enough gas, you will sometimes hook up and push the front tire. good luck man, those rule!:rock

Roll about 15-20 mph go to about 5-7k rpm and feather the front brake. Just before you let the throttle go lean forward to sort of hopup the back wheel. Once the wheel is spinning you can let go of the clutch. Just be ready to grab it again if you hook up. Once it is rolling it is easy to roll em a 1/4 mile or more!!!!! I still havent got donuts down yet though. Burnouts rock!:rock :rock :rock :rock :rock

I was perfecting my donut skills (actually, atemping them) the other night. and droped my frigging bike! I just got some frame sliders for when the next time i do it. Nothing feels cooler than a donut w/ your feet on the pegs. takes some balance though....not the easiest thing to do.:D

Yes, you still have to use the brake. Just feather it lightly to hold your speed. Feather your clutch to keep your rpms up until you get it spinning good then you can let go of the clutch. Oh, sometimes it will try to catch and buck you off so be ready to let off the brake and grab the clutch. Keep trying it just takes some practice.:rock GOOD LUCK!:rock

OK I tried.. didn't work for shit!.... why? This is what I did.. Got going on 1st gear, pull the cluth in, got my ass off forward, feathered a brake, gave gas and gradually let the cluth go... all it would do just freaking scream!!!!!! I tried to keep the same speed (10-15) with my front break but I would just go forward!!! no spinnning stuff  why?????

Just before you let the clutch go kind of hop the ass end to lighten it up then let that mother fly! I need to find a digital video cam then I could post a fat burn out. Ill try to get one on here soon, that may help. Keep in mind its really not as easy as it would seem. Good Luck!:rock

They will break loose a little easier if your going a little faster....10-15 mph for me tends to lock the front tire and push it to the side...try it about 20 mph get up over the front like your doing, pull in clutch and give it some gas, let out the clutch as you pull in the front brake...once you get the right combo it will break loose...then you can give gas and let off the gas freely and it fells really cool!! the more gas you give it the more it wants to come around on you!!! Be careful! You'll get them!!
