hey mphamzx7r, your o1 has polished rims doesn't it? I saw you on the bike for tech inspection and a couple other times. I was so shy and nervous I didn't talk to hardly anyone.

Hey Snow, I have an 01 R1....i had the blue sharkskinz that were rashed up on the right side..( i got whole set of fairings with the tank for $200)...i figured that would be better than $800 for a clean set in case of an accident... is this you??? (http://www.powersportsphotography.com/BrowseEvents/JanuaryFRA/012504FRAFontanaAM/cffs0121.htm) this was me.... (http://www.powersportsphotography.com/BrowseEvents/JanuaryFRA/012504FRAFontanaAM/cffs0139.htm) You get hurt in the lowside? bike ok?/ That track is pretty sick....almost as nice as Laguna Seca, but at least its a hell of a lot closer. I will definately try and make the february dates....

I finally worked my way up to 149 on the banking - or at least that is the highest number I read. I was trying different approaches to the banking - finally set on the left side (have to pass only on the right/outside) and tried to get clear of traffic before that point. There was a odd tranistion and I was near tank slapping. I had one of the level 1 blue (the faster) 03 but don't think was breaking any records. Bike has 1835 on the odo now. Its time to put the Akra' slipon-on. Loved the track after the grit got blown off. Tx to Fastrackriders, great program.

one of my buds, buds was taping. He only got 16 minutes total and it was mainly of us kindergarten kids. I'll watch it tonight to see if I can find you. What level did you ride. The guy only taped level 1 and 2. He's got sweet footage of a gsxr-1000 doing my imitation. Very nice. So are you going in feb??

I'm next to San bernardino mpham. I'm with you on the money issue. I need some really sticky tires and that's alot of money. I felt that my stock 207's cause my lowside. They just wouldn't stick! I'm getting kinda discouraged because our favorite hobby is so damn straining on the wallet. We'll see how things go in the next few months. Let me know mpham if you're rolling out to the track man brad

Yeah dude, my GP's are toast...Ask around at the local hang out. I have a friend who can get me a set of GP take offs for about $120 a set. I will have to replace both front and rear before doing another Trackday...But i'm sure if you ask around, there has to be a local who can get you take offs....better yet, just post a thread to the forum...I'll let u know when i'm definate on the next trackday. snowmkylvr-the turn opposite the paddock/far side had a crash that put synthetic oil on the race line on sat. All afternoon had to keep wide to avoid. Did you catch it there? I too had stock buns and finally got the chickn strips off but had it breaking loose just off the white line there as you add power for that short 100' straight.

You should consider participating in some MTC track days at Willow Springs. We have the schedule posted at the website, plus it's in a sticky post here. Maybe I'll see you there.

NOt a whole lot right now, but that will change real soon as out MTC track day season kicks off again in March.

majofly, I don't know what a paddock is but it's the decreasing radius turn 9 that I ate it in. I was runnning inside trying to pass my bud onhis gixxer 1. The instructors were pissed at me because I low sided. I said I didn't add any more power than normal and did everything repetitive. They tryed to make me feel like a newbie biaatch. Which I'am a newbie but I really feel I whooped ass out there. I was the fastest besides my buddy on the gix. ANyhow, I was very displeased about how they handled it. Well if anyone has some take offs for me please let me know. Thanks Mpham and eyespy.
