lately a few of us have been talking about meeting up & so on...

Petrol has had some good ideas like a track day at Eastern Creek etc.

something like that would take a lot of organising, hence, in the mean time, why not a few of us that r interested from the Gold Coast, Brisbane etc get 2gether one nite at a pub & meet each other & sink a few :beer :beer

just an idea... if we had all met each other, then organising something bigger next time would probably be a lot easier.

Its just that i am in Europe for a holiday at the moment and i dun get back for another 2 weeks. Then i really wanna get a bike to throw my leg over, it went bye-bye before i came over. WOMEN!!! grrrr.. (thats a long story i dun wanna get into)

It keeps me attached in some way to biking, and i miss having the crotch rocket sooooo badly. :cryin

I hope this GSXR750 is as nice to ride as i hope, and it will be good that it is larger than the R6, it was a little cramped for me i think. Me being 6'2" and all.

i think it will be....from what i understand the 750 frame is the same as the 1000....not to sure about the wheel base though:dunno

yeah thats pretty much why i went for the 750 in the end. i dun wanna end up being cramped on the small bike over long rides. Such as the one to Melb!!! :thumbup

damn that will be a long ride....let me know how it goes....i think i will be riding up your way sometime in the year aswell....a friend is moving back to queensland and i might go visit him when he moves....he said he would teach me to surf.....i guess anything is possible:dunno

the ride isn't that long

a two day ass numbing effort, but reasonably doable

you can also take a few detours and do it over three days, providing some more entertaining riding :rock

sorry i haven't been back on here 4 a bit 2 check this thread... got a little caught up in other shit.

long story... got busted 4 speeding on me way home from work last wednesday arvo trying 2 beat rain & thunder storms that have been around 4 the last week. was doing about 40klms over the speed limit... 100 in a 60 zone!!

the cop that got me was the senior constable of the helensvale police station. real prick... hated bikes & anything 2 do with them!! he was off duty on his way home from work in an undercover 4WD.

first thing he said to me when i got off my bike was "tell me you're not one of these dickheads that race on a track & then turn the public roads into your own track?"

anyways, he didn't give me a ticket but instead said that i'll receive a sumons in the mail to appear in court in the next few weeks... GREAT!! i can kiss my licence goodbye :(

i'll post the full story of what was said later on... haven't got time right now.

so anyways... not sure if u's met up friday nite? can't do anything this weekend coming but next i'll be free 2 meet up with whoever wants 2. u guys can either come down 2 surfers or we can meet up in brissie... woteva im cool with it!!

i probably woulda thought about doing a runner but the only thing was that i didn't know it was a cop cause it was just a standard 4WD... no police stickers, nothing!!

i was done by this very same guy, was it near River Downs?

He said the same shit to me and held me on the side o the road at 3am for an hour till he finally gave up, said he would letter me blah blah blah and nothing ever came.
