Boys,
Trying to get some serious organisation into this Squadron, and as I'm sorta the unoffical Squadron Uncle I figure that it's about time that we really get organise.
I'm going to talk to a couple of "Leather cutters" to see how much a "Race Jacket" and "Stunt Jacket" will cost. I was going to ask you lot if you'd buy a "Tyre Fryers" jacket.
It's prolly going to be a "Tiger Angle" jacket as they are the BEST value for money and they are WELL made and a full protection jacket.
On the back a big Tyre Fryers Logo.
It'd be like:
On the top "Forum Nic"
So it'd be a big TF 1NINTY TYRE FRYERS
You'd nominate you're color preferrence.
You would also order it directly from Tiger Angle so you would be repsonsible for your own Jacket. If you don't get one, it's cuz you didn't get one.
The only real problem is that it's a little "BIKER" so if noone is up for it I completely understand. Just an idea!

No not really I'm open for designs. that was just an idea. The Tyre Fryers bit will have to stay tho. The rest is up to whom ever shows the best one. PLEASE NO BIKER BOYS DESIGNS

I reckon if we all had one before the Track day that would be awesome.
Imagine a photo with all un it wearing our jackets... cool.... you bet ya a$$!
Plus it would be gnarly going on rides to have a bit of comradery (sp?)

I think we have to think heavily about the design, cause so soon after torque. Need to be very diff from torque and bike boys! :fact

Such a good idea, but i think the jacket has to be kept simple!

Yeah i'd do that... maybe we should organize this and give one to petrol for free for taking the time to organize stickers, jackets, track day, etc...

I've always wanted my name embroided or done in leather lettering on my leathers just above my butt ( bit like the jockeys have) but never get around to it.... so I think our forum names on our normal gear might be cool..... but I'll leave the rest to the biker boyz...hahahaha in that case Mick should change his to Poof R1 hahahhahahaha

Just for the record.... you guys who werent that familiar with the old thread..... any crap and its carrots up ya butt....... just ask the other guys.....
I say patch... as like others I already have 2 sets of leathers, 1 leather jacket and one nylon/kevlar jacket.... and if I ever buy another its going to be one I really want.... And I'm sorry i know I'll hurt someones feelings.... but the jackets are a bit over the top..... ok on our own, but if we are all together well get laughed off the road..... :bash :crash

Some suggestions....
Maybe we all pick our own design and just have the squad logo on the back and forum nick on the top.
As for making them, I think Peels Leathers maybe better then Tiger Angels. When I spoke to TA sales people last year at SBK expo tent, they told me that they don't do total custom (where you give them your design and they cut and make it) design, but you can select from their selection of patterns and they put them together. Whereas Peels Leathers do the whole thing from your own desgn. A mate of mine got one made from PL and it was his own design patterns, logos and his name cut out of leather and sawn on, like a racing jacket.
Anyway if you guys are interested I can go into TA office and talk to them.
