I was thinking about doing a long trip this summer, something like the ironbutt rides. I was reading the post about it and it said the first one ever started from montgomeryville cycle. Thats funny cause I buy all my bikes from there and never heard of it before. Anywazs, a long trip sound like fun!

Im still waiting for my 04 to show up at my dealer. Im going nuts waiting for this thing. So what are some good routes to rides in PA? Im very familiar with the southeast.

I don't know any really good rides but i want to try a place called gold mine. It's a mountan near Ft. Indian Town Gap. I have been on it in a car and it looks like a really good ride. I will check it out first though.....by the way I should be back in the states on the 18th of this month and home by the end of the month!!!!!!Can't wait!!!!!!!!:eek:

I am also awaiting my new 04, I have been getting the run around for a couple weeks now, I passed on a Silver 04 this week from my dealer, cause I have a Blue on order, so board member Young will be the 1st person to take delivery from Andrews Cycle in OH tomorrow morning. Lancaster, PA - We should all meet up at route 125 in a month or two when everything warms up. I was never there but a lot of people i talked to say thats the place to be with a sportbike...

Well, i got my new red R1 yesterday and took her about 40 miles. Handleing is great and the power is there. Today, freakin 5 inches of snow. This sucks!

Phillycat, I got about 130 miles on her so far. Im gonna try and put some on her eveyday till break-in is over. I'll tell ya one thing, the stock mufflers sound better than I thought they did, esspecially when you hit the throttle. Hope you get yours soon. I probably will be in town again this weekend if weather permits. I'll let ya know.

ok I will be alittle tied up tomorrow me and my cousin are going to change hid rear shocks and struts so I don't know how long that will take us. I say we should be done by 2 hopefully... And you say the stock pipe sounds pretty good. Thats some good stuff there less mods that has to be done....

i am from the wilkes barre area and i was just at matta moras hoever you spell it not too long ago.. i know a guy who owns a pool hall right there.. while we were there we stoppen in this porn shop.. wow.. the place was huge (no pun intended) they must of have 100k tied up in video survalance for thiefs and robbers and such.. anyways.. lancaster is about a 3 hour drive from here and matta moras is like 145 in t he oppistite direction... hey fly 98, I didn't know that there is a new track at tremont/ tower city. It's been there a long time now. but 125 is as real good road but gold mine is better. you turn right in tower city to go to harpers ferry and follow the signs to ft indian town gap. TPM has had a deposit for track time with them for a few years now. They are just waiting for a track to be built.

The track is started already they have the whole track cut out it is in dirt right now, there was a hold up because of the drain off and shit, but now they got that all approved so they are suppose to be gonna kick ass on it this spring. They have pics on there website. oh yeah and this track is suppose to be capable for moto gp as well. Website fills you in on all that.... Can't wait only about 30 minutes from me. yeee ha

Will be working as hard as I can go brake er in. I have plans to go to Philly for Memorial Day weekend, and will most likely stop for a couple days in State College Pa to see some old friends and see what they have done with the campus (PSU grad 2001). I just wanted to post in here to say HI and invite myself to ride with all you guys.. Couple rides that are good, Quaker Steak and Lube bike night (1,000s of bikes and good food and women), There are also some real good places at Penn State but I would have to see if I could remember how to get to them.. Anyways guys, if your all up for meeting up then I think it would be awsome to stroll around Philly or Pittsburgh, a bunch of us on our R1s... Let me know what you think... Looney

They are for the VFR when i first bought it. but i did try them out on the one and they fit nice I also have the triple tank bag and the duffle for on top of the saddle bags. Oh, I was riding all day to day got almost 200 miles on her now. I won't be riding much tomorrow. It being the first day of fishing season. I will be fishing most of the day. But maybe on sunday if my wife will let me get out of here (i have renovations to do). PM me with the best way to get a hold of you. maybe we can set something up.

Harrisburg Here. There is a few routes around here that are pretty good, route 74 in Carlise, route 233/234 in chambersburg.

He dont even have headlights in his bike yet.. So whats that tell ya.. I wouldn't put it past him because he has done it before (ridden without headlights) but thats too far for him with no lights. hey lightningfast I have changed my plans and am headed to state college to party with an old friend of mine who is a manager at red lobster (on atherton) Anyways Im gonna run 322 the whole way down from Clarion and looking to be parked at Red Lobster by 3pm tomorrow (saturday).. Look for the Blue R1 parked around there.. after that we most likely will go over to champs (after I park my bike for the day/night) and booze it up.. I was comming home from Cranberry via 8 38 108 138 and all those crazy roads.. actually dont remember the exact route but I came through butler and ended up in emlenton... saw someone on a 98/99/00 blue R1 on the road, he hauled it up as he passed me but I am still in break in period (735miles) so i couldnt return the favor.. but it would of looked sweet if I could have.. Anyways suppose to be nice tomorrow anyone want to go for a ride??

For anyone interested- I am putting a ride together for Sat 9/26. The ride will start at Montgomeryville cycle in AM and will go into the Tinicum/Nockamixion area of bucks county. The roads will vary between country staight-aways and twisites. There are already a handful of riders attending. If anyone wants to attend just PM me and I will respond with time confirmation. This is a good oppurtunity for area riders to learn a pretty good riding route. -Dave

Lansdale here. I am riding pretty much everyday. glad you had fun at deals. I spoke to the guy in charge of bike night about getting bikes together and he said they would be glad if we got more sportsbikes to show up but he said the cops will be out in force to watch for the wheelies and burnouts and shit like that. I would like to get as many together as we can for bike night. It would be cool to get a bunch together for some riding and then barbecue before bike night but I dont have a place to do that. Is there anyone out there that would be interested in getting together sept 11 for a bike night and some riding before hand :riding

:hellobye Sorry guys I have been really scarce these past few months.. really busy traveling and where I am staying now has only a 28.8 connection so I dont get on much.. HOWEVER!!!!! I am headed to philly tomorrow morning.. staying in a hotel for a couple weeks then getting an apartment and moving my bike and stuff down there... GOTTA LOVE THIS MACHINE.... starting to get more comfy on it, so starting to push the clutch wheelies etc.. we'll see! Hey O-P-U-S.... Moving to Philly this month.. Will be working out of Phoenixville and looking to live around that area... I am hoping to be fully integrated into an apartment around there by the third or last week of August... Any recommendations on living cheap and safe... need either a garage or way to bring my bike inside my apartment etc... Safe place would be preferable and no more then 30 minute commute to phoenixville.. thanks again!

You had to go a head and use the avatar I was using so now I had to take a real pic of my bike and use it. :2bitchsla j/k, but it is the best pic on yami's website. Hey, I see your in morgantown. Ive been there a few times at that furniture outlet there. But I ussually just go whipping by Morgantown on the turnpike at about 175mph. Man, that was a long drive from philly! I think if I could live anywhere, I would live in TN. The roads down there are killer, and it is very scenic and peaceful.
