Hey all:hellobye With summer drawing to a close, thought itd be a good time to TRY and organise something down the track for an ALL IN cruise before the crappy weather kicks in. It was thrown up oin the air at a recent ride we were all on from Ari about booking out Phillip Island for a trackday, and as great as that would be,not everyone would take their bike on the track and not all are intrested in a track day-so I figured a daily cruise would be the next best thing. Alot of us have commitments which over the last year(Ive been here for 8 months:p)has made it near impossible to organise a ride to get everyone together on one day for a ride. Im never the one to organise a ride, but Im hoping that this attempt will work out and we can get EVERYONE along for the ride. Those riders Im reffering to know who I mean, but I'll TRY and go through all those who Im reffering to,please excuse me if Ive forgotten some names: BluR1(Greg),UwishR1(Troy),Shane(forgot your nick bud),R1power,4niktor(FABIO!!),JJJR6(Jords),Lord_Phat(Mick),ChickR1(Haylez & Sam),R1Girl(Ari & Dale),Zerowun(Mono king Pete),Daniel_R1(Muscles),R6toR1(Rossi-Luc),Skyjo(Eujinn),Rick(from Balls),PaulR1(Paul),Enlightned,ExtremeR1,zx6aust (George),Ari1000. If Ive missed anyone, sorry but its hard to remember all the names. If you have a friend, neighbour, relative,WHOEVER that rides...bring them along for the day aswell,as itd be great to get as many riders as possible. As I said, and as we've all spoken about on various rides, itd be awesome to get everyone along for a ride,so just hoping that somehow between Dale's race meetings,Jordan's bike races,Dom's work hours,Dan's gym schedule,Greggy leaving some street tyres on his bike for more than a week etc etc that we're able to somehow work out a date and get all,or as many riders as possible along for one end of riding season MEGA cruise.:rock In regards to where to have the ride(Reefton,GOR,wherever..),if some are thinking "Naah,I wouldnt want to get stuck behind a slow rider etc etc" We can organise the inital meeting spot,go for the cruise and BEFORE getting to any twisty/difficult sections,we can organise a meeting spot at the end of the section so that nobody gets lost or feels like they have to keep up...good idea?? Well Ive started to try and get the ball rolling for this, hopefully there'll be enough feedback and members that would love to attend,so lets see how it goes. Cheers. Pete :thumbup

I'll be in it for sure dude ...but for ease of so many riders and traffic i personally think GOR would be better to keep the group together going from previous experience down reefton way . Too hard to keep the guys together with all the friggin traffic lights and Melb traffic in general . beside nothing beats 100 or so k's of twisties if you go to Lavers Hill that the GOR provides. Amount of twisties per K's travelled nothing compares to GOR i think ...my 2 cents anyway , i know most of us have ridden this way together at one time or another :riding

i know some awesome roads aronud gippsland that i have been promising you all to go to. they are more flowing bends, think of reefton as broadford style corners, these roads are more phillip island style corners. :thumbup if you want we could all head down there, not much traffic, and awesome flowing corners. :)

Well thank f***k for that,i finally found this thread.Pete(ozzy)mentioned it on another thread and it only took me 75 hours to find it:eek: How is everyone good i hope been a long time.Bout friggen time one of you bastards got off ya ass and organised a ride.:D I think Gor would probably be the most suitable for such a ride cause most if not all have been there at least once so people getting lost would not be an issue and like Dan said it's difficult keeping a large group together through the burbs with traffic lights every couple of k's.Reefton is good for a hardcore blast and like troy said it's my preferred ride but GOR it a close second especially the fast section from Apollo Bay to Lavers Hill:jump :riding As far as dates goes it would be good if we can make it the 15th cause i loose my licence for 3 months on the 19th (thanks to the mutha f****ing bracks government and their "safety camera's"). Good onya Pete and i'm lookin forward to catching up with you all soon.:thumbup

Having said that i'll also say that i like to ride new roads that i have'nt been on before and there is a system to keep a large group together. This sytem is called corner marking some of you will have heard of it or know how it works. This is how it works, you have a leader,a person who knows the route and is quick enough to keep the faster riders happy. The leader is not to be passed, when the leader makes a turn the person who is behind the leader stops on that corner and everyone turns when they see the corner marker. When the last person comes through he gives the corner marker a thumbs up to let the corner marker know that there are no more riders and it is ok for him to join the group. This is repeated at each turn and works a treat as long as everyone follows the rules. ps:Dom i had a job at 200 Queen st. today and parked next to your bike.Man that Leo Vincci race sytem looks badass dude.I love that look of the high rise systems without that s bend where the muffler is joined onto the rest of the system it is so superbike.

Pete, me and Dom know all about people getting lost after we went on one of the Ford rides with Dan and people from Ford. Thanks Pete, I’d appreciate that. Do you mean the Caltex where we usually meet Dan? I can be home from the airport at 8:30am, which means I can be in my gear and out the door by 9, which means I will probably be at that servo at 10:15-10:30am. Is this too late? In which case, if anyone wants to meet perhaps at the shell servo before the westgate at 9:30am for the trip down there, if anyone will be on same time frame as me?

Hey boys and girls ...waiting for jordon is never a hassle ......pushing the time back is good for me , you can have 2 meeting groups one at Shell Westgate Bridge ...and the other at the Shell Point Cook , you guys just organise a time , i'll be waiting in Geelong with a few guys aswell hopefully about 6 or so ...should be an awsome gathering for some serious tongue lashing ......by the way guys ...ego's at home and ride safe , i don't want to see anyone going down that day !!!!!!!! This is a freindly meet and ride , not a race challenge ....i know everyone is pretty cool with that , i just don't want to see anything happen to my friends.:thumbup :riding

Morning all. :) Thanks guys for waiting up for me, I really appreciate it. :) Hayles, relax babe, can't wait to see you and Sammy out there with us. :) That goes for all also that haven't been out with us before, we look forward to having everyone meet up and have a bit of a chin wag, and a bite to eat somewhere, probably Apollo Bay for lunch i'm thinking? Obviously depending on time. :) I'm really looking forward to this. I think the last time we had a ride this big was the one where I crashed, just under a year ago. Hopefully we all stay rubber side down and will be home in 1 piece. :) JJ

Anyways,Im sure that everythings been sorted out and look forward to seeing you and hubby at the ride:thumbup Have a great weekend everyone, and once agan-thanks for all the feedback and input from everyone organizing this ride. ok, here are the arrangements. For those that want to meet at the Melbourne end, come to Shell Servo on Geelong bound side of the westgate freeway for a 9:30am sharp leave. Those who are meeting at the Shell Servo at pt cook turnoff please let me know, and we will swing through there. I presume we will be at the Caltex in Geeling at around 10:20am-10:30am, so Dan, if you would like to meet us there with your mate's that would be great. My number is 0438 930 662 for those who don't have it, give me a buzz if there are any problems. Thanks. JJ

:hellobye Well I'm always looking at the tread, and I say little, as I think this is the best way, but I gotta tell ya all a story,,,,, One day this guy walks into my shop,, asks for a texta, and he turns and looks at the wall behind him. There is a big posta of a gold Busa hangin there from a Suzuki add, stock as a ROCK..... (standard tyres no mods ), :butt He starts writing somethin on the posta, It says 1:46, Phillip Island, :bow It was my mate Adam Fergerson, ( thanks bud ) If you don't know what the moral of the story is then I'll tell ya. A guy with skill cuts a lap time on a heavy, STANDARD, underpowered, and restricted production machine on shit OEM tyres doesn't need to boast about Jack Shit, or put others down, he says it all in the way he rides, At least there are boys and girls out there that are Man enough go out and ride, and take on the elements, which to me is ten times harder to do than sit on the PC and wank off about how good your bike is, or how fast they can ride ( by the way someone who was consistently timed at Phillip Island recently doing 2min flat in A group, I mean don't you get kicked out for that? )with one hand on his cock whilst typing with the other attacking others on the forum, should really just shut the FCUK up! :ugh otherwise great forum Rick ( sorry had to be said )

HI all, just like to say that i enjoyed the ride Sunday and meeting some new people. You guys ride a little quicker than my regular group whilst still being safe and mostly legal. Thanks Eugene for stopping to pick up my hat; apologies for leaving the group without any notice as I know how annoying it can be when a group just starts peeling off in all directions.(followed someone on a Hyabusa on a short cut thru Geelong and got lost) Looking forward to the next one

Ossyone..glad you had a good ride , hopefully there will be many more to come before th s**t weather sets in .....usually if there is descent weather we manage to get atleast 4 to 6 riders together for a squirt , so keep your eyes peeled thursday / friday for ride info , ride mostly Sundays . I think maybe keep this thread going for major info like our old one ...atleast we will all know where to go to for meets and rides and the WHORE element would have been worn off truely by now .
