advice on a zx6r?

Ok heres the deal... Im after honest unbiased opinions. How does the zx6 handle and go? Buja is in need of a bike, and have found a very nice condition '98 zx6. It has a small scratch on one case, looks like is been dropped at very low speeds. But barely noticeable. Tyres are good, chain, and sprockets are good. It was serviced 2,000 km's ago. The tyres on it have never hit even hit the twisties. It has 42,500km. Very comfy bike to sit on. Totally stock. All it needs is a good wash. The guy is asking $7,000. Im kinda being a tight ass and stayin firm on $6,500. But i know its worth more than $7,000. I think its a good buy. Because it seems to be a very versatile bike. Good for twisties, but also good for touring. Any comments? But its kinda sports/tourer.

$7,000 for a 98 Zx6.....that sounds kinda steep to me especially with the amount of km's it has on it..... you should be able to pick up a pre 2000 GSXR 750 for around that price....damn my firts bike was a 97 GSXR600 and i bought that in 99 for $8000 and it had just under 20 000k's on it....just my 0.2cents:dunno

The clip in Buja's signature is from Movie "Sex is Zero" Its Korean movie. Its hilarious. :) I have seen it with English subtitles. the Girl is "HOT" and the part were the guys swallows the mice was funny.:eek:

Well i guess what bikes are worth and what guys are willing to pay, and what guys are willing to accept are 3 diff things! So even $6,500 is a bit too much? hmm oh well buja keep looking hehe

Any nice bike trader mags? or anything? That might give buja and myself a better look at whats around?

Good all rounder for sure, I had a 1999 for a coupla years and loved it, handles as well as you can set it up and ride it. Comfy and fast.. will 165 on the clock..... No issues with this bike at all... Seems too much money though, do more research on the price if I were you...... Good luck and enjoy it......

165 MPH. That is steep for the bike and for the mileage. Keep lookin' bro! You'll find a better deal elsewhere. Patience is everything.

a little much if you ask me. the most i would pay for a 98 is $5000 if it was in good shape.

It does 165MPH on the clock.....probably a real life 150+ bike... I just got a 1998 ZX7-R with 9000 miles on it for UK £3.495.00 and it is in showroom condition.. Keep hunting dood......

7000 AUD = 4250€ I wouldn't pay that much. (my opinion) I used to have green -98 zx-6r w/ full Yoshi pipe & Dynojet. I loved that bike. Nice road bike. And pretty fast too.

i paid $4000usd for my 98 zx6r.... perfect condition, 8700 miles, new tires..... and that was 2 years ago in march. price sounds a little high
