I bought a ohlins steering damper today, sd124 with the brackets to fit my 01 r1, problem is, i'm missing the small bracket that attachs to the triple clamp or fork holder. Its very small black or brown i beleive, it only is held by one screw, and the other attaches to the damper. I called ohlins and they want 159.00 for a 2 inch piece or metal!!!! If someone, can lend me a hand, I would like to mesaure it up, so i can have a machine shop fabricate it. Please if anyone has one on there bike, and wouldn't mind helping a desarate guy out i will repay the favour ten fold.. damm i'm willing to pay for the help... just need the dimensions for the machinist.
heres a pic of it
thx

Sorry man.
I know the exact part that you're talking about. I had the same mount on my 99. But I dont have the bike any more to measure.
I think DnsZoom has an ohlins top mount on his 02 if that helps.

I'm really glad i'm a member of this forum, after reading all about ohlins installs, and the problems rattling, etc... I even found the perfect pic to help me fabricate my bracket.. I used all the info i got here, bought all the right washers and plastic oring, spacers, and the install went perfect. no rattles, just awesome. this forum rocks!!

Mine is on my bike in Barrie right now...
If you want to measure it up against it... I can have it brought down to me...
I am, in Brampton...
Looks like you almost have it...
