Canuck 02-23-2004, 12:37 AM Third Annual, doncha know?
Okay boys, it's time to think about a date.
I was thinking 5th or 6th of June - any comments?
Stay in the same basic area as the last two times:jump
Last year was a good two days, but people faded away on day two, so maybe this year we could keep it to a full day.
We could do an overnight, if the interest is there.
This would be our third annual, any bets on how many bikes show up?:p
Jimsab 02-23-2004, 05:28 AM June 5th is the date David and I are going to Deals Gap. Can we make it the week before? Jim
Canuck 02-23-2004, 06:33 AM I thought the Deal's Gap thing was 9th-13th? Whatever.
It doesn't matter to me - 29th, maybe 30th of May, instead?
airborne 02-23-2004, 06:45 AM End of May sounds great for me I can make that one. :) :riding
Cheers Chris.
RoadHogg 02-23-2004, 06:57 AM Hey mind any R1 borthers coming up from the NIagara Falls area for that toronto area riders?

Any more details about it? Where do you guys usually go? Is it just R1's that go?
Count me in if it's an open invite.
Jimsab 04-15-2004, 05:37 AM Any bike, Not just R1s. If you have a friend bring them along. Last year we met at Cameron Cycle in Peterborough. We rode to Haliberton and over to Barrys Bay. It was a great ride, and a lot of fun riding with the guys that came, no squids. Ride Safe Jim

hey Modsquad you going to make it this year?
Canuck 04-15-2004, 03:39 PM Secret plans are being formulated as we speak(insert evil laugh here).
Looking at a full day of weee-haaaww!
Canuck 05-02-2004, 07:32 PM OK - it's now May, time to start putting names and spreading the word. I am starting to PM other Ontario members, especially from previous rides. As a starting point, 9:30AM at a secret location near Peterborough for a full day of riding.
Spread the word, and try to keep it all on this thread, not the May 29th thread(to avoid confusion).
Sawboy - the motor is working fine, maybe a little weak after 280:p
RoadHogg 05-02-2004, 07:52 PM Damn sorry thats way to far away.... im not leaving at 6am to get there.. lol

sawboy 05-03-2004, 02:40 PM I'm going tomorrow night to start putting the bike together, hopefully she'll be done by then. You guys who are far away should make the trip it's a fun day with all your forum bro's. Its a good group of guys and no idiots. I think the only one who got out of shape last year was myself in some little town with a HAIRPIN in the middle of it!!
Plus if you're that far away I bet you've never heard of a few nice little roads like the 507 or the 118. mmmmm I cant wait. Elephant lake rd was very tasty last year too. Dammit I'd better have that bike ready.
fastprof 05-03-2004, 04:55 PM The end of May sounds good for me. The first couple of weeks of June are a wash for me. For those that have not been to the 507, it is worth the trip even if you have to leave at 6 am. So I guess I'm in.
Speeder2 05-03-2004, 05:08 PM Guys, new to this forum but alot of you probably know who I am..used to ride full Red Ninja 6R with D&D pipe...riding Red 04 R1 now.
Please keep me posted with the dates and ride info.
It would help if you can send us a mapquest or other trip route in advance.
Thanks...

The first year we did this I met Jimsab in Orillia and rode down to the wendys by the 401 to meet everyone, then we turned around and rode right back up past Orillia on our way up to the 118. I did over 1000k that day. Canuck came all the way from Brighton. I'm working in London and living in Mississauga now but if I can get it off work and get my bike together in time I'm there!!

Canuck 05-20-2004, 01:29 PM UPDATE, UPDATE!
Starting point is Fowler's Corners at 9:30AM, near Peterborough; coffee and gas, with little traffic to interfere with 25(?) bikes starting a great day of riding.
Pass it on, and pray for good weather:D
highside 05-20-2004, 02:26 PM Sounds good Jim, but where's Fowlers Corners:confused:
Please attach map or intersection info.
Thanx Highside (Dave)

sawboy 05-21-2004, 03:31 PM Modsquad, we're going to have to get you on the track bike program if these track days are starting to interfere with your street riding.
Maybe your lady can go ride with the boys and represent for ya.
I might see if I can borrow a machine for the day, if I can I may be there. Where are you thinking of ending up the ride?
Canuck 05-21-2004, 06:00 PM I am planning a loop that ends around the bottom of the Buckhorn/507, but I have alternate plans depending on how we are doing for time - it could end sooner if we pause too long here and there. Maybe do supper together in the Peterborough area - anyone local know a cool place for lotsa tired, happy motorcyclists to stop and eat after a day of wicked riding??:D

R6 Matt 05-28-2004, 09:16 AM at 9?? I thought we were meeting at 9:30... or is that when the ride heads out?
Oh ya, and no, I dont have a cell. I'll be the guy on a blue bike, with blue leathers with a red helmet... can't miss me.... if you see me go past come get me, hahaha.
highside 05-28-2004, 09:20 AM 9:30 official meet time I figure half hour to find them haha
sawboy 05-28-2004, 09:21 AM If you look at the map Hwy 7 turns to the west outside of peterborough. That intersection is fowlers corners. There is a gas station and coffee shop right there. Just follow #7 north past Lansdowne st about 5 min and you can't miss it.
I'm not sure why that map shows fowlers corners being north of that intersection but it is definitely fowlers corners. I guess that is the south end of fowlers corners, I had no idea that it was such a big city!!
From Jim's directions I am sure that he is planning to meet at that intersection.
Good luck guys, wish I could be there but I'm going to need the weekend to get the rat ready for the track on monday.

You'll probably be coming from the other direction, across 7. you cant miss it.

where I'll be looking for ya.
Highside(Dave)
see ya there:cool:
airborne 05-28-2004, 01:24 PM Sorry guys been to busy to play on the computer. Anyway, that is the intersection that you see on map Quest. Fowlers corners is not north of #7 it is right on #7, the highway running north and south there is called #7 bypass by the locals and it turns into #28 south of Peteborough. If you're coming from the south than you'll exiting off the 115 onto #28 North to Fowllers Corners, if you get mixed up any gas station or local around Peteborough knows where Fowllers Corners is good luck guys. Jimsab and a friend of his are coming up tonight is any body else coming up Friday if you are than send me a PM and I'll give you directions to the house.
